Re: NFL Players News and Weather Week 16

Matthew Stafford (ribs, throwing thumb) is active for Week 16 against the Bucs.
Stafford's status wasn't in doubt despite a questionable tag. The Lions' inactives are C Frank Ragnow, WR Kenny Golladay, OT Tyrell Crosby, LB Jamie Collins, DT Frank Herron, OG Logan Stenberg, and DB Jayron Kearse.

The Jaguars will start Mike Glennon in Week 16 against Chicago.
Jacksonville is sending Gardner Minshew to the bench for the second time this season. Glennon "earned the start" by outplaying Minshew in practice this week. Starting a journeyman on an expiring contract is another step in the wrong direction for an organization that should be giving evaluation reps to Minshew or sixth-rounder Jake Luton.

Eagles activated WR DeSean Jackson (ankle) from injured reserve.
Jackson returned to practice this week and has been cleared to play Sunday against the Cowboys. His role figures to be limited after spending the last eight weeks on IR.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Daniel Jones (questionable, hamstring/ankle) will start Week 16 against the Ravens.
This was expected for Jones after sitting out last week. Jones practiced on a limited basis and isn't close to 100 percent, but getting him back is an upgrade for the Giants' offense.

Browns placed Jarvis Landry on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
It's a catastrophe for the Browns. Landry, Donovan Peoples-Jones, KhaDarel Hodge, and Rashard Higgins were all considered high-risk close contacts of someone who tested positive for COVID-19. That leave the team without any of its regular wideouts for Week 16 against the Jets.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Chargers WR Keenan Allen (hamstring) has a chance to play in Week 16 against the Broncos.
Rapsheet added that Allen is pushing to play and remains a game-time decision.

Glennon ... Minshew. Not sure it matters. But I'm putting on my hazmat suit and taking those crappy Jags +8.

James Robinson (ankle) is inactive for Week 16 against the Bears.
Robinson has been banged up the last couple weeks and playing through injuries.

Allen Robinson (hamstring) is active for Week 16 against the Jaguars.
                  As expected.

Tyreek Hill (hamstring) is active for Week 16 against the Falcons.
