    Wk 2 /// 9-2-2 +711

    Thursday:

    Chicago +6 -111 (@ Wash)

Double focus. If your the coach and you're ever gonna get your team's attention it's after you blow a 28-7 lead with two minutes left in the third quarter to lose the game. Add in the fact that in Week 6 of last year the Bears lost to this Washington team, 12-7, despite getting almost two times the yardage that the Skins got.

Max focus Chicago. Wouldn't be surprised if the growling Bears won outright.

        Sunday (early London)

        Buff -5' +101 (Jax)

If you were one of the best teams / QBs in the game and two years ago you went into Jacksonville as 14' favorites and lost the game outright, 9-6, would you remember? Josh Allen had 0 TDs and 2 picks in that game. He remembers. And his Buff D has stepped up another level too. Payback.

Buffalo just came alive with a strip sack with 4 seconds left in the half to prevent another Jacksonville score. Jax leads 11-7. Wake up Buffalo!! Keep the faith, Brian!

            Add Sunday early:

            Pit +4' -101 (vs Balty)
            NEn -1' -104 (vs NOr)
            Mia -13 +100 (vs NYG)
            Tenny -2' -108 (@ Ind)

Back in a few with writeups.

Friggin Buffalo had 126 yds in penalties the last time they played the Jags and lost 6-9. They seem hell bent on exceeding that horrendous number today. Just killing themselves with penalties!

                  Pit +4' -101 (vs Balty
7 of the last 8 games between these Division rivals have finished within a five point margin or less. That's all I need.

                  NEn -1' -104 (vs NOr)
Pats are in trouble. 1-3 and lost their two best defensive players last week. But both of those players are QB disruptors. Derek Carr is an Edsel. He stinks. The Pats can beat him without those guys. This once proud Patriot team was embarrassed last week, 3-38. That's the worst beating of the Billy B era in New England. Do you think he has his team's attention this week?

                  Miami -13 +100 (vs NYG)
The Fish got beached last week in Buffalo. But they'll swim like Olympic Fish today against a NYG D that couldn't stop a minnow in a glass.

                  Tenny -2' -108 (@ Indy)
Tenny has covered five straight vs Indy. Vrabel will stop Indy's running game and force Anthony Richardson to beat them with his arm. I don't think he can.

                      Add:

                      Carolina +9 -105 (@ Det)
Road dogs not off a bye, after a SU loss to a winless team (Minny) are 4-3 SU and 7-0 ATS since realignment in '02. (Thank you RiderX)

                        Add late afternoon:

                        Arizona +3 +103 (vs Cin)
The Desert Birds aren't playing in San Francisco this week. They are back where they upset Dallas 28-16 as 12 point dogs. They are running the ball and being managed by a QB who has 4 TDs to 0 ints and 142 yds rushing on 21 carries with a TD in his last three games. Joe Burrow? 2 TDs and 2 ints in four games.

LA Ram +4 -113 (vs Phi)
These guys stayed within 7 of San Francisco. Don't see why they can't stay within 4 of a team that has yet to perform to their last year's form.

                        Denver -2' -113 (vs NYJ)
A revived Russell Wilson (9Td; 2 int) or the same old second pick of the 2021 draft, Zack Wilson (4 TDs; 4 ints)? Watch for a guy named Jaleel McLaughlin coming out of the Denver backfield.

                            Another awful day,

                            Sunday night:

San Fran -3' +101 (vs Dal.

San Fran has won and covered 9 straight home games. They are certainly good enough to make it 10.
