Just happy that we are having this game. Last summer it wasn't looking good.
I appreciate this forum taking the old Talksport crew in and hope that we have contributed in some way.
On to the game:
There are a least 2 storylines that have been discussed ad nauseum for 2 weeks.
1. Never bet against Brady in the big game. That statement isn't enough for me. That's just a lazy way to bet the game. In his last 3 Super Bowl appearances with the Pats, he threw 5 picks. At this point his deep ball looks more like a punt than a laser. He threw 3 picks against GB and it coulda shoulda been 4 or 5. He was lucky against NO too as I count 3 balls that shoulda coulda have been picked. He is unquestionably the GOAT but he isn't perfect. He is 4-5 ATS in Super Bowls and has only completed 55% of his passes in these playoffs.
2. KC has O Line problems and will get smoked by the TB front 7. This one has some legs. No doubt the strength of the Bucs is their D Line and linebackers. Secondary not so much. This could be a problem for KC but if there was ever a QB that I would bet on under heavy pressure it would be Mahomes. The kid can escape and throw overhand, sidearm, underhand, right handed, left handed and it has been reported that he can throw it 20 yards with his dick. If I am Andy Reid, I'm gonna try to slow down that pass rush and protect my tackles with a combination of jet sweeps and screens.
So it'll probably come down to turnovers. No idea how to cap fumbles but my book shows the odds of Brady throwing a pick at Yes -175, NO +145. Odds for Mahomes throwing a pick Yes +120, NO -150. Draw your own conclusion.
I'm guessing that Bowles will try to double Tyreek(the Cheetah)Hill and Kelce so that leaves Mecole(Jet)Hardman and Sammy Watkins with one on one. The Cheetah runs a 4.29 40 but Hardman runs a 4.33. That could be a big problem for TB's secondary. I could go on all day but here is what me and a lot of alcohol have bet so far.
