Re: NFL Draft Chat And Off Season News.

ESPN's John Clayton reports the Raiders are "very interested" in signing impending free agent JuJu Smith-Schuster.
Smith-Schuster should be regarded as an interesting option for most teams if only because he's recorded 3,726 receiving yards through his first four years in the league and won't turn 25 until November. The Raiders are still an intriguing spot since there's no guarantee Nelson Agholor, who finished second on the team in targets (82) and receiving yards (896), returns in free agency. Hunter Renfrow led Las Vegas in slot rate (63.4%) last year, perhaps creating a logjam at the position, but a loaded roster has never stopped Jon Gruden and Mike Mayock from getting their 'guys.'

Re: NFL Draft Chat And Off Season News.

Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer believes the Bears are the "front runner" for Carson Wentz.
Chicago is competing with the Colts, who have reportedly offered two second-round picks, and other quarterback-needy teams. It's unclear what the Bears have offered the Eagles or if they have sent a concrete offer at this point, but the delay right now is Eagles GM Howie Roseman's trade demands. A trade standoff can only drag on so long, however, because the Eagles have to make cap decisions in regards to other veterans under contract.

Re: NFL Draft Chat And Off Season News.

Colts acquired Carson Wentz from the Eagles in exchange for a 2021 third-round pick and conditional 2022 second-round pick.
The conditional second-rounder becomes a first-round pick if Wentz plays 75 percent of the snaps or 70 percent and the team makes the playoffs. The Eagles will also take on $33.8 million in dead-money cap penalties, the largest number in league history for one player. It's a far cry from the "multiple firsts" GM Howie Roseman was in the market for, but clearly the organization's best offer on the table after the Bears reportedly lost interest.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler "expects" the top-four rookie quarterbacks to go inside the top-10 overall picks in the 2021 NFL Draft.
The four quarterbacks are Trevor Lawrence, Zach Wilson, Justin Fields, and Trey Lance. Fowler believes Mac Jones would be next but that his physical limitations could keep him outside of the top-10 mix. That's the belief of many draft analysts. Of the four he mentions, Lance's range of outcomes are the widest as a small-school prospect (North Dakota State) with just one year of experience. Lance's physical tools will likely make him an attractive lotto ticket somewhere in the first half of Round 1.

Cowboys re-signed QB Dak Prescott to a four-year, $160 million contract.

He gets $126 million guaranteed and a no-trade clause. This one wasn't leaked to the media, as the team announced the deal and scheduled a press conference for Wednesday. Prescott "played" last season on the franchise tag but obviously missed all but five games with a gruesome ankle/lower leg injury. Prescott is reportedly on track to be ready for training camp despite needing a second clean-up surgery in December. He doesn't turn 28 until July and is smack-dab in the prime of his career, assuming he recovers normally from that ugly injury.

Giants signed TE Kyle Rudolph, formerly of the Vikings, to a two-year, $14 million contract.

Rudolph wanted to out of Minnesota because he wasn't being utilized as a pass-catcher. The 31-year-old had 367 and 334 yards over his last two seasons with Kirk Cousins in town. But now he'll compete with Evan Engram for looks over the middle. It's possible that Engram is traded before the season, however, as he only has one-year, $6.0 million left on his rookie contract.

Bills signed QB Mitchell Trubisky, formerly of the Bears, to a one-year contract.

Trubisky is replacing Matt Barkley as Josh Allen's backup, providing a significant upgrade for a Super Bowl contender. Former No. 2 overall pick Trubisky was an obvious massive bust in Chicago, but he is arguably coming off his best season as a pro last season when he reclaimed the starting job in Week 12 and posted a 10:5 TD:INT mark as a passer with an 11th score as a rusher.

Andy Dalton said he received "assurance" from Bears officials that he would be the team's 2021 starter.

"They told me I was the starter. That was one of the reasons I wanted to come here," Dalton said Thursday. "That's the assurance I got." It's the final dagger for Chicago fans who may have hoped against hope that the team would add a quarterback in the draft to compete with Dalton for the Week 1 gig.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said the Panthers have allowed Teddy Bridgewater to engage in trade talks with other teams after Carolina acquired Sam Darnold from the Jets.

Rapoport added that the team is open to Bridgewater returning if he can't find a suitable trade partner. This all but confirms that Carolina sees Darnold as the team's 2021 starter after a 2020 season in which Bridgewater struggled mightily in an otherwise talented Panthers offense.

I am a big time Rams fan and i root for the chargers as i had season tickets for them when the Rams moved to St Louis. The Rams not so much this year, but the Chargers will get a very good player at number 13....either a top 3 offensive lineman, possibly Waddle at wr or with much luck and divine intervention, Kyle Pitts....looking forward to watching the draft
