Re: NFL Players News and Weather Week 15

DeVante Parker has a "slight" hamstring strain and is uncertain for this week's game against the Patriots.
Parker left Week 14's game against Kansas City in the first quarter and did not return.

Ronald Jones is having a surgical operation on his broken pinky finger.
Jones is having a pin inserted into his broken finger, the same procedure Chris Godwin underwent a few weeks ago. Godwin missed one game, so that seems like a reasonable expectation for Jones.

The Panthers expect Christian McCaffrey (thigh) to miss Saturday's game against the Packers.

The Lions aren't "overly optimistic" about Matthew Stafford's (ribs) chances to play this week against Tennessee.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Daniel Jones (hamstring, ankle) is in doubt for Week 15 against the Browns.
Jones is dealing with a sprained ankle in addition to his hamstring injury. Clearly limited before getting pulled in the fourth quarter, Jones seems destined to miss his second game in the last three weeks.

49ers designated TE George Kittle (foot) to return from injured reserve.
It opens Kittle's 21-day practice window. Kittle has been targeting a Week 15 return, but that may be a stretch given he hasn't played in over a month.

Christian McCaffrey (thigh) didn't practice Wednesday.
Coach Matt Rhule has already said he expects McCaffrey to miss this week.

Bucs coach Bruce Arians expects Ronald Jones (finger) to practice later in the week.
Jones had pins inserted in his broken pinky finger on Tuesday. The Bucs are holding out hope he can play through it, though Chris Godwin missed a game with a similar injury.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports Mike Williams (back) is a "true game-time decision" for Week 15 against the Raiders.
As is Keenan Allen (hamstring), who exited for a brief period in the fourth quarter of Sunday's win over the Falcons.

Matthew Stafford (ribs) remained sidelined for Thursday's practice.

Bills coach Sean McDermott said John Brown (ankle) won't play in Week 15 against the Broncos.
Brown returned to practice mid-week but won't be able to turnaround in time for Saturday's game.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Mike Williams (back) is not expected to play in Week 15 against the Raiders.
And to make matters worse, Keenan Allen (hamstring) will reportedly be limited even if he is able to play.

Ezekiel Elliott (calf) remained limited for Thursday's practice.
To be clear, Elliott hasn't practiced with the team the past two days, instead staying off to the sidelines and being limited to resistance training ahead of Sunday's game. He's still expected to start and play, though it would not be shocking if Tony Pollard was again handed a high share of this backfield's touch count.

Julio Jones (hamstring) did not practice Thursday.
Falcons interim coach Raheem Morris described Jones as "week to week" with the lingering hamstring issue. He's been in and out of the Falcons lineup for much of 2020 with the hamstring, and hasn't practiced this week.

Julio Jones (hamstring) is out for Week 15 against the Bucs.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Drew Brees (ribs) will start Week 15 against the Chiefs.
Apparently, coach Sean Payton was fibbing a bit when he said Thursday that Brees has "a ways to go" before he's back on the field as the starter. But after the Saints dropped one against the Eagles last week with Taysom Hill under center, New Orleans believes it's time for Brees to get back in the saddle in a showdown with Patrick Mahomes.

Matthew Stafford (ribs) will not practice Friday.
Interim coach Darrell Bevell essentially said Stafford doesn't need to practice to play Sunday, and Stafford will make the trip to Tennessee. It sounds like the Lions will give Stafford every opportunity to play against the Titans and could run this thing all the way up to pre-game warmups.
