Re: NFL Players News and Weather Week 12

NFL Network's Aditi Kinkhabwala reports James Conner tested positive for COVID-19.
Conner is waiting for a second test on Sunday to confirm the results. Barring a false positive, he'll be placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list and miss Week 12. The Steelers will turn to a committee of Benny Snell and Anthony McFarland to replace Conner.

Christian McCaffrey (shoulder) has been ruled out for Week 12 against the Vikings.
McCaffrey practiced on a limited basis this week and was listed as questionable, but he was always a longshot to play.

Colts placed RB Jonathan Taylor on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Taylor is out for Sunday's game with the Titans. He's only a high-risk contact for now but would miss a minimum of 10 days if he tests positive.

Eagles coach Doug Pederson doesn't expect Zach Ertz (ankle, IR) to play in Week 12 against Seattle.
Pederson said there's been "no setback" with Ertz, but he's unlikely to play after it looked like he was trending in right direction.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the 49ers could play the remainder of their home games in the Cardinals' stadium due to COVID-19 restrictions

Ravens placed TE Mark Andrews on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
He's the latest Ravens player to test positive and will be out a minimum of 10 days if asymptomatic and 14 days if symptomatic. He's out for Weeks 12 and 13 after testing positive Saturday.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Kalen Ballage (ankle, calf) is not expected to play Week 12 against the Bills.
Austin Ekeler (hamstring) is expected back for this one, so it'll be Ekeler, Troymaine Pope, and Joshua Kelley taking up the backfield against Buffalo.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the NFL is considering "local bubbles" for the playoffs.
That would mean "isolating all personnel in hotels except to go to and from the team facility and strictly enforcing limitations on who is permitted inside to interact with players," according to Rapoport. The NFL reportedly considers that more feasible than regular-season bubbles for all 32 teams or one giant bubble, like the NBA used.

Re: NFL Players News and Weather Week 12

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Jalen Hurts is expected to "receive increased playing time at quarterback" Week 12 against the Seahawks Monday night.
The caveat is Carson Wentz is not expected to be on the field at the same time, so it'll be Hurts' true debut under center after he's shared the field with Wentz on his previous 31 offensive snaps this season.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Falcons WR Julio Jones (hamstring, questionable) is not expected to play in Week 12 against the Raiders.

Re: NFL Players News and Weather Week 12

NBC Denver's Mike Klis reports the Broncos may start RB Royce Freeman or practice squad WR Kendall Hinton at quarterback against the Saints after Drew Lock, Brett Rypien and Blake Bortles were forced to quarantine following Jeff Driskel's positive COVID-19 test.
None of Lock, Rypien or Bortles are eligible to play, creating a farcical situation for Denver under center. Freeman could do some wildcat-ing, but Hinton was a quarterback at Wake Forest before injuries necessitated a switch to wideout. Either option will be purely disastrous vs. the NFC-leading Saints. The NFL needs to postpone this game, for the safety of the Broncos and the competitive integrity of the NFC playoff race.

Tua Tagovailoa (thumb) is inactive for Week 12 against the Jets.
This was expected after Tua was downgraded to doubtful. Tua has swelling in his thumb and "could miss multiple weeks.

Raheem Mostert (ankle) will play in Week 12 against the Rams.
San Francisco will have Deebo Samuel, Jeff Wilson, and Mostert all available together for the first time in the last month.

ESPN's Dan Graziano reports the Ravens' latest round of COVID-19 tests produced no new positives that would impact Tuesday's game against Pittsburgh.
The league has also given Baltimore permission to fly tomorrow afternoon if no new positives from Monday come trickling in. Even so, the NFL is considering pushing this one to Wednesday night to give Baltimore an additional practice day amid reports that players could outright refuse (and create a mid-year strike) to play on Tuesday.

Because of the current Covid restrictions in Santa Clara. 49ers have to play home games somewhere else.

Wind picking up again in So Jersey. Forecast calls for sustained wind with gusts to 45v MPH. Also lightening in the area so we might get a slight delay.
