A word of advice for playing NFL games on December 31st:
Be careful......be very careful.
Most of these games have the feeling of pre-season games. Impossible to figure out.
The teams with something to play for always look like the best plays. But year after year, in games like this, the team with nothing to play for gets up for the game and the chance to knock off that team. And often does.
Meanwhile, teams who have clinched their play-off spot, sometimes never show up, instead resting key personnel so there is no chance of injury. (i.e How do you handicap the Eagles/Cowboys game on Sunday?)
And finally, there are teams that are going to flat out quit during games tomorrow? Especially if they are playing in single-digit wind-chill. Who are they? Who knows?
Tread lightly tomorrow, boys, and keep your powder dry for games down the road.
And have a happy and healthy 2018 everybody!
