The Lions will retain coach Jim Caldwell.
New GM Bob Quinn did some research on Caldwell and has decided to stick with the 61-year-old (tomorrow) for another season. "It’s clear to me that this team believes in him and responds positively to his leadership," Quinn said.

Coach Pete Carroll admitted "I don't know how that's going to go" when asked if Marshawn Lynch will be back with the Seahawks in 2016.
Lynch, 30 in April, very well could retire after his worst season of his career, rushing for 3.8 YPC and battling numerous injuries that limited him to just seven regular-season games and one playoff contest. If he doesn't hang up the cleats, the Seahawks seem likely to release Lynch.

You look at the running backs that could be available this off season and your a college running back you have to cringe.
Take a team like Dallas with a decent offensive line and have a guy like Lynch or Forte running behind it.
Then there is always a team like the Patriots or Denver who Forte would be a perfect fit for in that offense.

Jackson had Kaepernick rated higher than Cam Newton as a quarterback prospect. The 49ers have said Kaepernick's San Francisco future will be determined by their next head coach.
Huh, the first thing I thought of when the 49ers hired Chip Kelly was that they would try to fit Kaep in Chip's system and use him like Carolina uses Cam Newton. Read option is what Kaepernick does best.

There is so much that goes on that we are not privy to, could be a way to get Kap to renegotiate his contract?? Kind of like saying, to the players of the 70's if they want to go to Green Bay?

The Chargers have applied to trademark "Los Angeles Chargers."
It looks like this is really happening. Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reported Monday the Bolts were working to "finalize" a deal to share the Rams' new stadium in Inglewood. The Chargers' trademark application, which was filed two days after the league approved the Rams' relocation bid, should be the final nail in the coffin. The Chargers' inevitable move effectively squashes any hope the Raiders had of returning to Los Angeles.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Raiders could move to San Diego for the 2017 or 2018 season.
Schefter's source called the potential move "very viable." The Raiders-to-San Diego possibility was first reported two weeks ago by ESPN's John Clayton following a private discussion with Raiders owner Mark Davis. The Chargers are fully expected to join the Rams in Inglewood (CA), creating room for the Raiders in San Diego. Even after missing out on Los Angeles, Davis seems dead set on leaving Oakland.

Top Raiders brass will reportedly visit Las Vegas on Friday to scout a potential stadium site.
The reports are all a bit secondhand, but are based on a memo from University of Nevada Las Vegas president Len Jessup. Owner Mark Davis said he would neither confirm nor deny the report. With stadium efforts going exactly nowhere in Oakland, and Davis dead set against a move to St. Louis, Vegas is a highly interesting wild card option.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Calvin Johnson told Lions coach Jim Caldwell that he plans to retire.
Megatron informed Caldwell of his retirement decision "the day after the regular season ended." Per Schefter, Johnson had told friends and family he planned to make 2015 his final NFL year before the season began. The Lions reportedly "haven't given up hope" that Johnson will change his mind, but a "person close to him" says Johnson is "pretty content" with his decision. Johnson turned 30 years old in September. He has the entire offseason to reconsider -- with a $16 million salary hanging in the balance

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Rams "have had internal discussions" about signing Peyton Manning and are "monitoring the situation."
The Rams are desperate for quarterback help, and nothing screams making a splash in their return to L.A. like signing Manning, even if he is merely a shell of his former self. And that may be generous. Manning turns 40 next month, and he and coach Jeff Fisher have a history dating back to AFC South battles between Fisher's Titans and Manning's Colts.

Was listening to a radio show and they were saying that if Megatron holds off on retiring until after March that he would get over 3 million of what is on his contract or the Lions can cut him to save that and then he can ....... have a change of heart and decide that he wants to play another year and make the Lions out to be the ones that got rid of him and he can choose to sign elsewhere with a contending team of his choice.
