ESPN's Bob Holtzman reports Andy Dalton's broken throwing thumb is "likely season ending."
Per Holtzman, the "best-case scenario" has Dalton returning for the playoffs, but the "feeling in the locker room" is that he's done. It would be a brutal end to a career campaign for a player who has taken a major step forward this season, especially since Dalton has never missed a game since being the No. 35 overall pick of the 2011 draft.

Bengals coach Marvin Lewis confirms Andy Dalton (broken throwing thumb) doesn't need surgery, and is week to week.
Dalton has already been ruled out for Week 15, but there's genuine optimism he'll be ready for the playoffs, if not Week 17.

Coach Pete Carroll said RBs DuJuan Harris and Bryce Brown will compete to be the Seahawks' starting running back.
Marshawn Lynch (abdomen) remains without a timetable to return and continues to rehab off-site. Thomas Rawls suffered a season-ending ankle injury on Sunday, leaving Harris, Brown, and fullback-type Derrick Coleman left for the early-down role. Carroll said Fred Jackson isn't an option to start, and he'll be left as the third-down, passing-game back.

LeGarrette Blount (hip) was spotted using crutches to move around Tuesday.
Needless to say, the crutches are not a great sign for his availability this week. Brandon Bolden dominated carries after Blount exited Sunday night, and he is the more valuable side of the committee with James White.

Jaguars signed RB Jonas Gray from the Dolphins practice squad.
The Jaguars have yet to give a firm timetable on T.J. Yeldon (sprained knee), but this move strongly suggests he will miss at least this week. Denard Robinson will start and should be a nearly every-snap back as long as Yeldon is out.

Jonathan Stewart has been diagnosed with a sprained foot.
He was spotted with a walking boot on his left foot Monday. The Charlotte Observer's Joe Person said his status is "unclear," but he expects the team to "err on the side of caution." Coach Ron Rivera said Stewart's absence from the second half last week was precautionary, but it now looks like there is a real chance he misses Week 15.

        Seahawks waived RB DuJuan Harris.
It's a surprise, as coach Pete Carroll said Monday that Harris would compete with Bryce Brown to start in Thomas Rawls' absence. Harris' release paves the way for Brown to get a heavy workload against the Browns' bottom-three run defense.

Brandon Bolden is expected to take over as the Patriots' early-down runner with LeGarrette Blount (hip) reportedly done for the season.
With Blount sidelined for most of Sunday's win over the Texans, Bolden took the rock 16 times for 51 yards. Coach Bill Belichick's plans can never be assumed, but both Belichick and OC Josh McDaniels have offered up Bolden praise this week.

Vincent Jackson (knee) is out for Week 15 against the Rams.
He didn't practice this week and never had a realistic chance of playing.

Panthers coach Ron Rivera does not expect Jonathan Stewart (foot) to play Sunday against the Giants.

Matt Schaub (chest, shoulder) is practicing Wednesday.
It puts Schaub on track to start Sunday against the Chiefs. Jimmy Clausen and Ryan Mallett would be the backups

Julian Edelman (foot) is practicing again on Wednesday.
Edelman returned to practice last Friday after breaking his foot Week 10. He's going to need a full week of practice before returning to game action, and that could happen this week. According to onlookers, Edelman looked "crisp and quick" and "pretty good" running routes on Wednesday.

Tyler Eifert (concussion) remained sidelined at Friday's practice.
He's not going to play Sunday against the 49ers.

T.J. Yeldon (knee) is officially doubtful for Week 15 against the Falcons.
Both Yeldon and coach Gus Bradley have tried to make it sound like the rookie running back has a chance to play Sunday, but it's not happening. He's week-to-week with a sprained MCL

Spencer Ware (ribs) returned to practice on Friday.
Ware suffered bruised ribs in last week's win over San Diego. Ware's return to practice would suggest he's on track to play Sunday against Baltimore. If he does suit up, Ware will be in a timeshare with Charcandrick West with West getting most of the early-down looks and Ware figuring to get first crack at goal-line carries.

Julian Edelman (foot) is listed as doubtful for Week 15 against the Titans.
Edelman has resumed practicing on a limited basis, but he's not quite ready for game action yet. That may change ahead of next week's division battle with the Jets.

Amari Cooper (foot) remained limited at Friday's practice and is listed as probable for Week 15 against the Packers.

Re: Fantasy Football Discussion And Info. Week 15.

ESPN Seahawks reporter Sheil Kapadia said Bryce Brown is the "favorite" to lead the backfield in touches down the stretch.
Kapadia cautions Brown is far from a sure thing but said he "should get the first shot at carrying the load." Christine Michael would be the next logical option, but Kapadia believes it is possible he is not even active for Week 15. Fred Jackson will handle third-down work, and Derrick Coleman is unlikely to be heavily involved.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Andre Ellington (toe) "will not play" Sunday night against the Eagles.
Ellington returned to practice Friday after missing the previous two games with turf toe, but he's not ready for game action. Turf toe is very painful and has been known to end seasons. With Ellington still out, it keeps David Johnson locked into high-end RB1 status with 25-touch upside.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports there's a "good chance" Spencer Ware (ribs) is active for Week 15 against the Ravens.
RapSheet reports Ware is "fighting separated cartilage in his ribs," which means we wouldn't expect him to play a full complement of snaps. Even with Ware apparently set to be active, Charcandrick West has an outside chance at 20 touches in a game against Baltimore the Chiefs should be able to control.

ESPN Boston's Mike Reiss believes Brandon Bolden is the "most likely candidate" to lead the Patriots in Week 15 carries.
Reiss expects the Patriots to "split running duties" between Bolden, Joey Iosefa, and James White, but he foresees Bolden as the likely lead back. Iosefa is a 250-pound fullback/tailback type who might conjure memories of Jonas Gray.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen indicated on NFL Insiders that Spencer Ware (ribs) may only be available for an emergency in Sunday's game at Baltimore.
Specifically, Mort stated the Chiefs "are gonna try not to play him," even if Ware is active. It sounds like Charcandrick West has a chance at a full workload in this spot.
