  • why did the NCAA drop the last two years of PSU's bowl ban???

Can someone please tell me what the rationale was for this decision? I haven't watched TV, so I haven't seen the excuses by the NCAA yet. However, this was a cover-up from top to bottom, from the President of Penn St. to the Coach of PSU to the Athletic Director protecting a pedophile who was taking advantage of children for several years.

WTF is the excuse to take away the penalty - which was a ban on PSU participating in bowl games for 4 years?!?? Fucking Ridiculous IMO and sends the wrong message.

Sandusky, convicted in July 2012 on 45 counts of sexual abuse of 10 boys, is serving a 30- to 60-year prison sentence. Others allegedly involved in a cover-up -- including former school president Graham Spanier, vice president Gary Schultz and athletic director Tim Curley -- are awaiting trial.

sorry to say, but this seems to be all about money and nothing about JUSTICE for the children who were affected and possibly f*cked in the head for life

Because they knew they fucked up in the first place. The kids at Penn St were not the culprits here. Jopa reported it the first time he was told about it to the atheletic director. The state of Pennsylvania tabled the investigation, and there's the cover up. Whenever any thing bad happens, the media goes on a witch hunt. An insensitive joke gets you canned or suspended. A word or expression used in private can get you crucified. The pig responsible is in jail so it should be case closed.

and what about the other execs who were part of the cover up for the school for several years?? The other coaches who said they SAW SANDUSKY with children in the shower and said nothing? Others allegedly involved in a cover-up -- including former school president Graham Spanier, vice president Gary Schultz and athletic director Tim Curley -- are awaiting trial.

Shit, Marshall University had several scholarships taken away over 3-5+ years over paying football players an extra $5 - $10 an hour (than other employees) to perform janitorial work.

As you said others are awaiting trial(why it has taken so long is unfathomable). Hopefully they will be convicted and get reunited with their pal Sandusky. But my point is that the student body did not deserve punishment. It will always be about the money in everything, that never changes. If any good ever comes out of this it might be that kids in similar situations will feel enabled to speak out and stop the abuse.
