College Football National Championship Plays 1/12
$400 Oregon/Ohio St. under 16.5 1st Quarter LOSER (-440)
$300 Oregon/Ohio St. under 37 1st Half $WINNER$ (+300)
I've used this approach the past several years in these type games, Super Bowls, National Champ games... Both teams tend to come out a little "tight" in these "all or nothing" games, and that affects their offensive execution more than anything else. Not to mention the coaches may be just a bit more conservative early on feeling out their opponent. This match-up is eerily similar to the Auburn/Oregon title game a few years back when Cam Newton beat Oregon 22-19 in a game that had this exact same 73.5 total. Ohio St. sends a similar sized running QB with a big arm out to face Oregon tonight. Ohio St.'s big armed QB loves to air it out on deep passes, but the Oregon D is predicated on taking that away. That worked against Alabama because the Tide struggled giving up long pass plays all year. Here it may end in disaster. I lean towards taking Oregon, especially with every service around all over Ohio St. I will pass on that though and just play these.
