  • New trends thread

    That last one was getting kind clogged up but what a winning thread that turned out to be.

    From the last thread for tonight:

    In rounds 1 and 2 previous home loss now an away fav

    round in [1, 2, ] and p:HFL and AF and season>2003

    Play on okc under Thursday night., I like this one as both these teams can d up and it's truly an important game

    Re: New trends thread

    From the mail guy, system winners. Don't know him or vouch for him but he's got some good trends

    First 3 rounds of playoffs, at least 2nd game of series, total>182, after a 23+ pts loss in which opp. scored 116+: 15-0 UNDER. PLAY ON: UNDER 215 LAC/GSW. BIG PLAY.

    Checked out at the database:

    round<=3 and series game>=2 and p:total>=182 and p:L and p:margin<=-23 and po:points>=116

    http://sportsdatabase.com/nba/query?...ubmit=S+D+Q+L+!

    It shows 1-13 and the database doesn't show tonights game but they seem to having a problem over there with this years playoffs. I've written them about the mistake and hopefully they'll get it fixed up later today.

    Updated now at the mine and it's 1-15 over there and a go on the clips in the late game

      Re: New trends thread

      stone cold bummer on that Mem under, 20 tics in ot left and still a chance, damn these are tough. Moving on got another pretty good one from the mail guy:

      Total>207, 3rd game and later, went over the total 4-6 straight times, last game decided by single digits, 7 straight unders, by 17 ppg on average: PLAY ON: UNDER 216 Houston at Portland. Big Play.

      Checked this at the mine of course and it's right

      total>207 and 4<=ou streak<6 and series game>=3 and p:margin<10

            Re: New trends thread

            Thanks guys the trends have been hitting at a high pace in the playoffs but I have a counter trend for the game tonight from one of my database buddies, Here it is:
            quote:

            ORIGINAL: Kenman

            something WAS/CHI and HOU/POR O/U in game 3

            http://sportsdatabase.com/nba/query?...it=S+D+Q+L+%21

            in round 1, 2 Dog prev won both games SU, now HF are 1-4 ATS and 5-0 O/U since 2005

            4 plays go tonight ...

            HOU+3 and OV215
            CHI+3 and OV182.5

            Thomas, this one say 5-0 OV for HOU/POR ... but the average total is around 192.... and HOU/POR total is 216 .. that a big margin.

            My Reply:

            yeah Khai thats pretty high and it it's opposite of that trend I just posted but as mine says streak of 4-6 overs which the Trailblazers have (5) and this is quite confusing. All Portlands totals in those 5 were between 199 and 216, could be due for a low scoring game but you know what Houston can do if they get flying around. Tough decision here any thoughts

                  Re: New trends thread

                  The mail guy trend says Houston under 216 and the counter trend says over, sorry for he confusion. I just thought maybe you should see them both because there's usually two sides to every story. I think I may stay away from this game myself cause I'm kinda torn between the two

                        Clearly Jel, lol. I never like playing Houston under even though they're about 50-50 on the year I'm always on the wrong side when I play an under it seems. Onward another nice trend from Dr. Ed Meyer owner of the database
