    On Today's Scorecard
    Setting The Stage
After three rounds of upsets, thrillers, blowouts and everything in between, the NBA Finals are here -- and it's a series that will pin some familiar faces against a group with zero experience on the league's biggest stage.

The Golden State Warriors, led by three-time champions Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson, are making their sixth Finals appearance in the past eight seasons. The Boston Celtics, meanwhile, are here for the first time since 2010.

Golden State has been installed as -160 favorites to win the title and it's largely about the experience factor as, for the first time since 2019 and the sixth time in the past eight seasons, the Warriors are back in the NBA Finals. They will need lock-down defender Gary Payton III, who has been out since early in the second round, to counter Boston's top-rated defense.

The Celtics arrive off a pair of thrilling seven-game series against top-seeded Miami and No. 3 seed Milwaukee. As ESPN says, if Boston wants title No. 18, they'll have to make sure their lack of Finals experience doesn't become a factor on the biggest stage.

What we like best, though, is the renewal of the Backyard Brawl with West Virginia traveling to Pittsburgh for the 105th meeting of the cross-river rivals.

    Yes we're getting giddy.
