| Las Vegas gets a second chance at hosting the NFL Draft starting tonight thru Saturday April 30. They were scheduled to host the event two years ago but it was canceled when the draft went virtual instead due to the pandemic. Pay attention and you'll see a red carpet stage over the water at the Bellagio to get to the main stage. "This is what our city's built for," said Josh Swissman, partner of Las Vegas-based Strategy Organization. "If you look at what we've done historically, anytime we've done some of these big events, Vegas knocks it out of the park compared to other previous destinations." Because people are less likely to take off from work, the Draft will not approach the Super Bowl. The over/under on people in attendance is said to be 600,000, which would surpass the 500,000 that attended the event in Nashville in 2019. |
