    Mock Mock, Who's There
The much anticipated NFL Draft kicks off tomorrow evening in Las Vegas and as we do every year it's time to unveil the PLAYBOOK 2022 NFL MOCK DRAFT.

In the last six years we are proud to say we've accurately named 141 of the 191 (73.8%) players selected in the first round in our PLAYBOOK NFL Mock Draft, including 34 players assigned to their designated teams. The biggest coup was selecting 7 of the first 9 players drafted by their eventual teams in the 2020 draft.

For what its worth, this class of prospects is devoid of superstar talent near the top. It's loaded with edge defenders and a deep cast of wide receivers, albeit not nearly as talented as the 2021 class. The same holds true for quarterbacks, although teams with need are likely to ignore the fact that next year's QB crop is much deeper with more talent than this year's group and will likely react in favor of immediacy. The fact of the matter is Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields would be not only the top quarterback of this draft class but also likely the No. 1 overall selection.

Aidan Hutchinsonand Travon Walker, Edge rushers from Michigan and Georgia respectively, are pretty much the betting favorites to go first. But that's not so in our draft.

    Whipped Cream
The Brooklyn Nets were favorites at the beginning gof the season to win the Eastern Conference, even after the James Harden trade in February. Two month later they went winless in the first round of the playoffs.

This is the first time in NBA history that each of the two preseason title favorites (Nets and Lakers) didn't win a playoff game.

"I think it was just really heavy emotionally this season," saidKyrie Irving, whose decision not to get vaccinated hung over the team all year.

"We were trying to exercise every option for me to play ... And I think it became a distraction at times," added Kyrie Irving. You think?!!

And the there was Ben Simmons, who was expected to make his Brooklyn debut this series, wasn't in the arena for Game 4, reportedly due to back issues. Softer than whipped cream, Simmons watched Tiger Woods come back to compete in pain throughout The Masters earlier this month after breaking both legs, and nearly have one of them amputated, in a car crash. It didn't inspire him any.
