WHAT'S BREWING TODAY Wendesday, March 23 On Today's Scorecard Sweet 16 Fast Facts |
This year's Sweet 16 features plenty of intriguing matchups. Four double-digit seeds are trying to reach the Elite Eight. Only one team is favored by at least nine points. Half of the games have a point spread of fewer than three points. Michigan may have run into a few teams that had poor shooting performances. After No. 6 Colorado State went 12-for-35 from 3-point range, No. 3 Tennessee missed 16 of its 18 3-point attempts against Michigan. Duke is the only Sweet 16 team that is an underdog against a lower seed. Their opponent, Texas Tech, has the best defense of anyone left in the field. UCLA will be at a disadvantage if PF Jaime Jaquez Jr.'s sprained ankle he suffered Saturday doesn't heal in time. Click here to read more fast fact on this week's Sweet 16 games. |
