    Preview: L.A. Lakers At Milwaukee
When: 8:00 PM ET, Monday, February 22, 2016
Where: BMO Harris Bradley Center, Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Milwaukee forward Jabari Parker is coming off the top game of his NBA career and seeks his third straight 20-point outing when the Bucks host the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday. Parker posted career highs of 28 points and 13 rebounds in Saturday’s double-overtime victory over the Atlanta Hawks, and the 20-year old appears to be on the verge of blossoming.
Parker was enjoying a solid rookie campaign last season before it ended after 25 games because of a torn ACL in his left knee, and he’s starting to find a comfort level. “I think he’s really finding his rhythm,” Milwaukee coach Jason Kidd told reporters. “He’s getting on the glass, he’s getting to the rim and he’s knocking down some shots.” The Lakers have lost five straight games after suffering a 126-115 loss to the Chicago Bulls on Sunday. Kobe Bryant is averaging 23.5 points in two games since the All-Star break but is just 2-of-15 from 3-point range.
TV: 8 p.m. ET, TWC SportsNet (Los Angeles), FSN Wisconsin (Milwaukee)
ABOUT THE LAKERS (11-46): Rookie point guard D’Angelo Russell will be a starter for the rest of the season, coach Byron Scott said after the loss to the Bulls. Scott took Russell out of the lineup more than two months ago but he’s ready to commit to Russell for the remainder of a season in which Los Angeles has nothing to play for in terms of a playoff spot. “I feel like I’ve still got something to prove, and I don’t want anybody to take it the wrong way, but you feel like your best players are your starters,” Russell told reporters. “And I feel like I’m going to keep the confidence and say that I’m one of the best players, so I feel like I just want to keep proving that I deserve to start, deserve to be out there and play crunch-time minutes.”
ABOUT THE BUCKS (23-33): Milwaukee has won three of its last four games and is beginning a stretch in which 11 of its next 14 games are at home. Parker helped fuel the double-overtime victory over the Hawks by playing 51 minutes as the Bucks used only eight players. Center Greg Monroe contributed 24 points and 12 rebounds for his third double-double of the month, one night after having just four points in 30 minutes in a loss to the Charlotte Hornets.
    BUZZER BEATERS
    1. The Lakers have won the past two meetings after the Bucks won six of the previous seven.
    2. Los Angeles SG Jordan Clarkson scored 20 points against Chicago for his fourth 20-point outing in five games.
    3. Milwaukee SF Giannis Antetokounmpo has strung together three consecutive double-doubles and is averaging 18 points and 12 rebounds during the stretch.
    PREDICTION: Bucks 96, Lakers 87

      Preview: Boston At Minnesota
When: 8:00 PM ET, Monday, February 22, 2016
      Where: Target Center, Minneapolis, Minnesota
The Boston Celtics are eyeing a home-heavy portion of the schedule, but first must wrap up a three-game road trip at Minnesota on Monday. The Celtics have split the first two games of the trek, losing by 18 in Utah before winning by 20 in Denver on Sunday, riding 22 points and 12 assists from Isaiah Thomas to improve to 16-14 on the road.
Following the visit to Minneapolis, Boston plays five straight games and seven of its next eight at home, where it has won eight straight. The Celtics have another streak on the line Monday, as they have won five consecutive contests that fell on the second half of a back-to-back. The Timberwolves offered little resistance in a 113-99 loss at Boston earlier this season but have claimed three meetings in a row at home. They are coming off a 103-95 loss to New York on Saturday, scoring 16 points in the first quarter, 13 in the third and trailing by as many as 28 points in the fourth.
TV: 8 p.m. ET, CSN New England (Boston), FSN North (Minnesota)
ABOUT THE CELTICS (33-24): Sunday offered up another example of how valuable Evan Turner is to Boston, as he finished with 17 points, nine rebounds and five assists off the bench. Turner had a team-high 13 points in the first half to help the Celtics build a 15-point lead and easily record his seventh double-digit scoring effort in eight games this month, during which he is also averaging nearly seven boards and six assists in roughly 28 minutes. The veteran had a season-high 10 assists in the previous meeting with Minnesota, while Thomas handed out 12 to help offset a season-low eight points.
ABOUT THE TIMBERWOLVES (17-39): Minnesota will be looking for a bit more from big man Gorgui Dieng, who had three points on 1-of-6 shooting against the Knicks and was in the middle as his team was outrebounded 51-31. Dieng, who entered with a string of five straight double-doubles, registered a minus-23 rating in 25 minutes as the Timberwolves gave up at least 100 points for the 13th time in their last 14 games. While Boston is nearing a long stretch at home, Minnesota will play nine of its next 12 contests away from the Target Center.
      BUZZER BEATERS
      1. Timberwolves SF Andrew Wiggins is averaging 23.9 points in February.
      2. Celtics C Jared Sullinger has grabbed exactly 11 rebounds in each of his last four games.
      3. Boston is 10-3 overall in the second half of back-to-backs.
      PREDICTION: Celtics 104, Timberwolves 100

        Preview: Phoenix At L.A. Clippers
When: 10:30 PM ET, Monday, February 22, 2016
Where: Staples Center, Los Angeles, California
The Los Angeles Clippers can be satisfied with earning a split against the top two teams in the conference in the first two games after the All-Star break, though a pair of wins would have been better. The Clippers will try to bounce back when they take a step down in competition by hosting the lowly Phoenix Suns on Monday.
Los Angeles crushed the second-place San Antonio Spurs 105-86 on Thursday but had a late rally fall short in a 115-112 loss to the NBA-leading Golden State Warriors on Saturday. “We wanted to win the game so badly that we couldn’t win the game,” Clippers coach Doc Rivers told reporters after Saturday’s loss. “We were in the way of ourselves.” The Suns’ descent to the bottom of the Western Conference continued with their 11th straight loss on Sunday, though they were surprisingly competitive in the 118-111 final against the Spurs. Phoenix center Alex Len missed the first game after the All-Star break but looked plenty healthy while putting up 23 points and 13 rebounds in 24 minutes on Sunday.
TV: 10:30 p.m. ET, NBATV, FSN Arizona (Phoenix), Prime Ticket (Los Angeles)
ABOUT THE SUNS (14-42): Phoenix has only the Los Angeles Lakers keeping it off the floor in the Western Conference but is trying to make strides toward the future under interim coach Earl Watson. Len, 22, got the start in place of injured veteran Tyson Chandler (shoulder) on Sunday and looked strong alongside newly-acquired power forward Kris Humphries. Watson is using a wide rotation and gave 10 players at least 18 minutes of playing time on Sunday, led by forward P.J. Tucker’s 30 minutes.
ABOUT THE CLIPPERS (36-19): Los Angeles got blitzed at the start of Saturday’s game and needed a game-closing 13-0 run with all the reserves in the game to make the final score respectable. “Any top team, you’ve got to come out with the right mindset, the right spirit,” Clippers center DeAndre Jordan told reporters. “You can’t make game plan mistakes. We gave up a lot of points on things we went over.” Jeff Green, who was acquired from Memphis in front of Thursday’s trade deadline, made his team debut on Saturday and managed five points on 2-of-7 shooting in 20 minutes off the bench.
        BUZZER BEATERS
        1. Jordan is averaging 18.8 rebounds in his last four games.
        2. PG Phil Pressey made his Suns debut on Sunday and delivered six points and five assists in 28 minutes off the bench.
        3. Phoenix snapped an eight-game losing streak in the series with a 118-104 home win over Los Angeles on Nov. 12.
        PREDICTION: Clippers 112, Suns 98
