    Re: NBA Betting Info. 1/21

    Preview: Atlanta At Sacramento
When: 10:00 PM ET, Thursday, January 21, 2016
Where: Sleep Train Arena, Sacramento, California
The Atlanta Hawks have long dominated Sacramento and aim to record their 16th consecutive victory in the series when they visit the Kings on Thursday. Seven of those victories have come in Sacramento, with the Kings last defeating the Hawks 119-107 on Feb. 20, 2008.
The Hawks opened a four-game road trip Wednesday with a 104-98 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers as power forward Paul Millsap and small forward Kent Bazemore each scored 23 points. Atlanta, which is in third place in the Eastern Conference, has stops in Phoenix and Denver to close the excursion. Sacramento star DeMarcus Cousins is on a roll and had 36 points and 16 rebounds as the Kings routed the Los Angeles Lakers 112-93 on Wednesday to complete a 3-0 road trip. Cousins has strung together eight consecutive double-doubles and has seven 30-point outings in January and is averaging 31.7 points and 13.7 rebounds this month.
TV: 10 p.m. ET, FSN Southeast (Atlanta), CSN California (Sacramento)
ABOUT THE HAWKS (26-17): Atlanta has won three straight games and five of its last seven to move a season-best nine games above .500. The first half of the season was viewed as a bit of a disappointment as the performance was routinely compared to last season when the Hawks went 60-22, but Millsap said he isn’t worried. “I think it’s a process,” Millsap said after the win over Portland. “We’re trying to get back to where we were last year but better. If we can get to where we were last season in the Eastern Conference finals, we think we have a good chance.”
ABOUT THE KINGS (18-23): The strong play of Cousins and point guard Rajon Rondo (10 or more assists in each of his past nine games) has helped Sacramento catapult up to eighth place in the Western Conference. “DeMarcus has shown at a high, high level that he’s an All-Star,” coach George Karl said after the win over the Lakers. “Is there a better center playing basketball right now in the NBA? I don’t think there is. He’s helped us at both ends of the court.” Rondo had 17 assists Wednesday — the same number the Lakers had as a team — and is averaging 13.6 during the nine-game stretch.
    BUZZER BEATERS
    1. Millsap had 23 points and 16 rebounds as the Hawks recorded a 103-97 home win over the Kings on Nov. 18.
    2. Sacramento backup SG Marco Belinelli is 14-of-44 during a five-game shooting slump.
    3. Atlanta backup PG Dennis Schroder is 6-of-21 shooting in the past two games.
    PREDICTION: Kings 109, Hawks 107

      Preview: San Antonio At Phoenix
When: 10:30 PM ET, Thursday, January 21, 2016
Where: Talking Stick Resort Arena, Phoenix, Arizona
The Phoenix Suns are on their way to the bottom of the Western Conference while the San Antonio Spurs are fighting their way to the top. The Spurs will try to run their winning streak to 12 straight and hand the Suns a sixth consecutive loss when they visit Phoenix on Thursday.
San Antonio is embarking on a three-game road trip that concludes with a showdown at Golden State on Monday, but the team is not looking too far ahead. “We’re thinking about the next game,” Spurs guard Danny Green told reporters. “We take it one game at a time. Golden State is not our next game. So we don’t really worry about what other teams are doing.” The Suns fell for the 14th time in the last 15 games with a 97-94 loss to Indiana on Tuesday but took a positive out of the contest thanks to rookie guard Devin Booker. The 19-year-old Kentucky product scored a season-high 32 points to become the third-youngest player ever to reach 30 after LeBron James and Kevin Durant.
TV: 10:30 p.m. ET, TNT, KENS (San Antonio)
ABOUT THE SPURS (36-6): San Antonio has not lost since Christmas and took its last three road games by an average of 20.7 points. The Spurs rolled over Dallas 112-83 at home on Sunday as LaMarcus Aldridge (23 points) scored 20 or more for the third time in four games. “We have guys that can make plays, guys that can have big nights,” Aldridge explained to reporters. “Last game, David (West) played great. I was in foul trouble. (Tony Parker) had two or three games where he was killing. Kawhi (Leonard) had the previous five games. I think it just makes it easier for everyone out there.”
ABOUT THE SUNS (13-30): Phoenix coach Jeff Hornacek used small forward P.J. Tucker for 45 minutes in Tuesday’s loss, in large part because backup T.J. Warren did not put up enough effort in his three minutes. “We’re looking for guys who are going to hustle,” Hornacek told reporters. “And if you don’t hustle, we’ll take you out. We expect good things out of T.J. He’s a great player. But every guy off that bench needs to bring some energy.” Warren is averaging 11 points in his second season out of North Carolina State.
      BUZZER BEATERS
      1. Phoenix C Alex Len (hand) had six points and 12 rebounds in 21 minutes on Tuesday after missing the previous three games.
      2. Parker left the last game with hip soreness and is questionable.
      3. San Antonio has won five straight in the series and took the first two meetings this season by a total of 47 points.

      PREDICTION: Spurs 113, Suns 88
