NBA notebook: Wizards' Wall to have knee checked
By The Sports Xchange
Washington Wizards point guard John Wall will undergo tests on his sore left knee.
Wall led the Wizards to a win at Chicago on Monday night and scored 17 points with 10 assists and five rebounds, but he continues to be bothered by soreness above his left knee.
Wall is averaging a career-best 19.6 points and 9.6 assists -- the second-best average in the NBA -- and has not missed a game this season despite dealing with multiple nagging injuries, including ankle and rib ailments.
---The Cleveland Cavaliers acquired the Portland Trail Blazers' protected 2020 second-round NBA Draft from the Orlando Magic in exchange for guard Joe Harris, the Sacramento Kings' 2017 protected second-round pick owned by the Cavs and cash.
Harris played in five games for the Cavaliers this season and 10 games for the Canton Charge in the NBA Development League. A second-round draft pick in 2014, Harris had foot surgery on Tuesday in Indianapolis to repair a fifth metatarsal apophysis.
---The Denver Nuggets signed guard Sean Kilpatrick to a 10-day contract.
Kilpatrick has started 21 of 22 games for the Delaware 87ers of the NBA Development League this season and is averaging 27.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.14 steals. He provides depth after Nuggets point guard Jameer Nelson missed Sunday's game against the Charlotte Hornets with a right hip injury and is listed as day to day.
