I always play the road team against the defending champion on opening night. The celebration and handing out the rings and raising the banner ceremonies gets longer each year and are a big distraction to the defending champs and the delay just gives the dog more incentive. This works in the NHL too as the Rangers beat the Blackhawks on opening night after their 45 minute long celebration.

And tonight you also get playoff revenge with the Pelicans.

Strong play on the Pelicans +10.

I knew it as the news came out with Holiday being out. Looks like Gentry will chose to get revenge at home later this week.
