Yasiel Puig will start in right field and bat leadoff in Saturday's regular-season opener against the Diamondbacks in Australia.
Facing Wade Miley in Sydney, Puig will be followed in the lineup by 2B Justin Turner, SS Hanley Ramirez, 1B Adrian Gonzalez, LF Scott Van Slyke, 3B Juan Uribe, CF Andre Ethier, C A.J. Ellis and P Clayton Kershaw. Puig led off 28 games last season and it sounds like Dodgers' skipper Don Mattingly is intent on increasing that number this time around. The prodigy slashed .333/.409/.618 out of the No. 1 hole, compared to .319/.391/.534 elsewhere.
