| Last year's Heisman Trophy winning QB Bryce Young leads the list of the preseason 2022 AP All-American football team. Alabama's four first-teamers and six players on the two teams overall were the most for any school. Ohio State was second behind Alabama, just like in the AP Top 25, with three first-team selections and five players overall. Defending national champion and No. 3 Georgia had three players picked to the first team. In fact, the Crimson Tide and the Buckeyes landed a combined 7 players in the first team. Watson is suspended for 11 games for his off the field indiscretions. Cleveland opens the season at Carolina where they will face Mayfield and the Panthers. Watson is scheduled to return December 4 at Houston – against his former team, the Texans. |

| When LeBron James inked a two-year, $97.1 million extension with the Lakers last week - which will keep him in L.A. through the 2024-25 season - he became the highest-paid NBA player in history, surpassing Kevin Durant. The contract brings his total guaranteed career salary to $529 million. He's also the first North American athlete to surpass $500 million in guaranteed earnings. Safe to say James remains the King of the Jungle. |
