    On Today's Scorecard
    20 Up, 20 Down
Continuing with our tour of NFL training camps this week, NFL Nation took a peak inside the AFC Northwhere the Baltimore Ravens hope to get out training camp healthy.

This is an extremely bold prediction considering last year was one of the team's worst summers from an injury standpoint. From the start of camp to the start of the regular season, Baltimore had 13 key players sidelined for at least a week by either an injury or by testing positive for COVID-19. There was a 19-day stretch in which the Ravens had five players sustain season-ending injuries, including their top three running backs. And, they enter this year's camp with 6 players on the PUP list.

Yet through it all, head coach John Harbaughguided the team to another undefeated 3-0 SUATS mark in preseason games in 2021 as – according to the 2022 Playbook Preseason Football Newsletter - his troops have now won 20 consecutive games during the preseason.

Once A Pig, Always A Pig
When dishonored former MLB playerPete Rose was asked yesterday about a statutory rape charge for having sex with a minor, Rose told a female baseball writer for The Philadelphia Inquirer, "It was 55 years ago, babe." (It was actually 49 years ago in 1973).

Rose asked her if he had offended her and offered to "sign 1,000 baseballs" for forgiveness before ultimately saying he was "sorry." (It's something narcissists almost never do – apologize).

Rose also blew off another question from The Associated Press after the ceremony about the allegation and his comment earlier in the day. "Who cares what happened 50 years ago?" Rose said, according to the Inquirer. "You weren't even born. So you shouldn't be talking about it, because you weren't born."

At the time of the incident Rose, now 81, was in his mid-30s and was married with two children and the girl he molested was 15.

    Pin The Taillon
When Jameson Taillon toes the slab for the Pinstripes in Seattle tonight he'll do so knowing the visiting team is 3-0 on his career starts against the Mariners.

On the flip side his opponent Logan Gilbert is 0-3 at home in his career in August starts.

With New York 19-6 the last 25 games in this series, including 12-3 in Seattle, it's time for us to 'pin the Taillon' on the donkey.
