WHAT'S BREWING TODAY Tuesday, July 5 On Today's Scorecard New SEC Physique |
With the Big Ten flexing its muscles, you can rest assured the SEC is sure to counter and move ahead with further expansion of its own. One assumption is the SEC would return to divisions with 24 teams – four divisions with six teams each. Another assumption is the SEC would play a 10-game conference schedule. For some clarity in this piece, the divisions are labeled, West, Midwest, Mideast and East. Scheduling is a big guess but 10 conference games would allow five out-of-division games each season. A rotation could also allow every SEC team to play every other SEC team in a four-season cycle. >From what we're seeing now, this is what the SEC MIDEAST could look like: Kentucky Tennessee Georgia Florida State Florida Miami To see what the other four divisions look like click here. |
