Baseball betting question...Yankees game last nite...suspended for 3.3 hours

Guys,

Just curious. I read some chatter out on the net that some books graded the Yankees as a "win" even though they lost the game at 2:44 AM in the morning the next day. The Yankees were leading by one run in the top of the ninth, with 1 runner on, and nobody out. The game was delayed for three and a half hours. Question, do you know of any scenario that would post the Yankees as the winner??? Also, on a side note, the Yankees reliever, hit 3 Rangers batters in the same inning once play resumed.

Never heard of a game being graded until it was completed. Had the bottom of the ninth not been played the Yankees would be winners. Some books might have ASSUMED the game would not be finished.

I have heard that books are now adjusting payouts.

Ambrose-Think about what you've typed(NY leading by 1,bottom of 9th,runner on,no outs) Yanks would have been winners by being Home Team with lead in the bottom 9th.What actually happened was the yanks were trailing bottom 9th, 9-6 and the game was delayed by rain and the yanks never tied it 3 hr later.If any Book paid Yanks grab the $ and bail.

Correction:The Yanks were ahead by 1 run in the top of the ninth with one man on base...and nobody out...and then a three and a half hour long rain delay. After the 3.5 hours, the new NYY pitcher gave up 4 runs. The final score was 9 to 6 Texas.

Post #5 correct. Yanks were ahead in ninth and blew it. Had game been washed out Yankees would have won. I think some books assumed that would be the case.
