  • The Higher Scoring League is...

This is a no-brainer right? American League teams don't let pitchers hit and nobody wants to face those dreadfully scary American League offenses. That would be the common way of thinking, but early returns say otherwise. The Big Bad American League is averaging 3.92 runs/game and the National League is averaging 4.44 runs/game. Not shockingly that means some AL teams are going under at a shocking rate, some of those teams are considered high scoring too. I been cashing all April going under with Toronto and they are one of the best under teams in MLB at 8-16-2. Listed below is a breakdown of team scoring and AL under teams...

    American League Offense
    Runs Per Game: 3.92
    Batting Average: .246
    On-Base Pct: .312
    Slugging Pct: .398
    OPS: .710

    National League Offense
    Runs Per Game: 4.44
    Batting Average: .252
    On-Base Pct: .324
    Sugging: .408
    OPS: .723

    American League Pitching
    ERA: 3.77
    Batting Average Against: .246

    National League Pitching
    ERA: 4.17
    Batting Average Against: .251

    Team: Over-Under-Push
    Kansas City: 5-17-2
    Tampa Bay: 5-16-3
    Toronto: 8-16-2
    Chicago: 8-15-3
    Los Angeles: 8-15-2
    Seattle: 8-15-1
    Baltimore: 9-13-2
    New York: 9-11-3
