Orioles signed RHP Yovani Gallardo to a three-year, $35 million contract.
The deal is pending a physical. It took longer than expected but the Orioles finally have their man in Gallardo, who was easily the best pitcher left on the market.

According to the New York Daily News, Aroldis Chapman's discipline for his domestic violence allegations could include banning him from spring training.
Under the new domestic violence policy adopted in August, commissioner Rob Manfred has the freedom to enforce any punishment he feels is appropriate. That could include banning Chapman from all team facilities while he serves his suspension

The Orioles and Dexter Fowler's agent have been discussing a two-year, $24 million contract.
Baltimore can focus on Fowler now that Yovani Gallardo is finally under contract. With position players reporting to camp next week, the O's would be wise to get a deal done quickly.

White Sox signed SS Jimmy Rollins to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
He'll earn $2 million if he makes the big league roster out of spring training. Rollins will report to White Sox camp on Thursday. He's looking to rebound after a trying year with the Dodgers in 2015 (.234, 13 HR, 41 RBI). Assuming he makes the roster, Rollins will compete with Tyler Saladino for playing time at shortstop

Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports that the Orioles have reached an agreement with Dexter Fowler on a three-year contract.

Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports that the Orioles are hoping to get the results of the additional tests on Yovani Gallardo back on Wednesday.
The O's saw something they didn't like in the pitcher's initial round of tests and ordered more. Depending on what the results are, Baltimore could attempt to restructure Gallardo's three-year, $35 million contract or back out of it entirely.

Cubs re-signed OF Dexter Fowler to a one-year, $13 million contract with a $9 million mutual option for 2017.
Well this comes as a surprise. MASN's Roch Kubatko reported Tuesday evening that Fowler had agreed to terms on a three-year contract with the Orioles, but that deal apparently fell apart when the 29-year-old requested an opt-out after the 2016 season. Fowler now returns to the north side of Chicago, where he figures to reclaim the starting center field job.

Cubs signed OF Shane Victorino to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
One day after the surprise re-signing of Dexter Fowler, the Cubs have added another outfielder. Victorino is on a minor league deal (which is worth $1 million with $1 million more available in incentives, according to ESPN's Jerry Crasnick) but should virtually be assured of making the Opening Day roster, likely booting Matt Szczur back to Triple-A.

FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that the Rangers have agreed to a one-year, $8 million contract with Ian Desmond.
The deal is pending a physical. Obviously free agency didn't work out the way Desmond had hoped, as he wound up having to settle for a one-year contract worth much less than the qualifying offer he rejected and will have to move from shortstop to left field.

MLB has suspended Aroldis Chapman for 30 games under their domestic violence policy, according to Billy Witz of the New York Times.
                  He won't appeal the ruling.

White Sox signed OF Austin Jackson to a one-year, $5 million contract.
Jackson passed his physical without any issues and will be in White Sox camp on Monday.

The deal was agreed upon Monday and then officially announced Thursday after Alvarez passed his pre-signing physical.

Andrew Miller has been diagnosed with a bruised right wrist.

But the Yankees won't know the exact severity of the injury until Miller undergoes X-rays and a CT scan back in Tampa. The lefty reliever was struck by a comebacker during Wednesday's Grapefruit League game at the Braves' spring training facility in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. Dellin Betances is prepared to fill in at closer for the Yankees if the exams reveal anything serious. Aroldis Chapman will spend the first month of the season on suspension for an offseason domestic violence

According to the Associated Press, Maui prosecutors are moving to dismiss a domestic abuse charge against Jose Reyes.

Reyes was scheduled to go to trial on April 4, but deputy prosecuting attorney Kerry Glen said Wednesday that she's dropping the case because Reyes' wife isn't cooperating. The Rockies' shortstop previously pleaded not guilty to abusing a family or household member. Reyes has been on paid leave pending the completion of his case, but MLB commissioner Rob Manfred has the ability to levy a suspension regardless of a conviction.

Eduardo A. Encina of the Baltimore Sun reports that the Orioles have released right-hander Miguel Gonzalez.

Gonzalez will be on waivers for the next 48 hours, after which he could become a free agent. The 31-year-old is coming off a 4.91 ERA last season and owns a rough 9.78 ERA over six starts this spring, but the assumption was that he would begin the season with a rotation spot. The two sides agreed to a one-year, $5.1 million contract back in January to avoid arbitration. The Orioles would owe him a quarter of his salary if he isn't claimed. Kevin Gausman (shoulder) should be back soon, but now Tyler Wilson and Mike Wright should get chances to impress in Baltimore's rotation.

White Sox purchased the contract of SS Jimmy Rollins from Triple-A Charlotte.

It was pretty much a given that Rollins would make the Opening Day roster and win the starting shortstop job, but now it's official. The 37-year-old has certainly earned the opportunity, batting .354 (17-for-48) with four home runs and 13 RBI this spring. We can't ignore how much he struggled with the Dodgers last season, but he's worth considering in deeper mixed leagues in this hitter-friendly ballpark.

Mariners acquired RHP Nick Vincent from the Padres for a player to be named later.

Vincent is out of options and apparently wasn't going to make San Diego's bullpen. The 29-year-old spent a large chunk of last season in the minors, but he owns a 2.63 ERA with 9.6 K/9 and 2.3 BB/9 over 161 appearances in the majors. He's a good pickup for Seattle.
