Books expect All-Star shootouts
The 2016 NHL All-Star Game is taking on a new format on Sunday, Jan. 31 from Nashville, Tennessee and bettors could be scratching their heads.
Instead of two teams squaring off for 60 minutes, the league has decided to divide the rosters into four teams and play two semifinal games in the first two periods and the championship in the third period between the two winners.
The teams were split up equally amongst the four divisions.
Another change is that the game will be played 3-on-3 hockey, which teams now play in the new NHL overtime format.
Goals are expected to be posted early and often and the oddsmakers have already made adjustments to the new format.
Listed below are the odds and rosters.
