    Yonkers: Tuesday 1/12 Analysis
    By Brewster Smith

    DRF HARNESS

    FINAL 2015 STATS: 246 - 1167 / $1,690.80

    BEST BETS: 29 - 97 / $127.80

Best Bet: LIGHTNING RAIDER N (3rd)

Spot Play: TOUCH OF LUCK (7th)

    Race 1

    (4) BADGER QUINN most likely was used up in the early stages at The Meadowlands last out. Two trips back, he was a fast closing second. With a fine-timed drive from Dube, he should boss these. (2) BLUE STRIKE Jersey invader has tactical speed; figures to be right in the mix. (3) DECISIVE DESTINY Qualifier at Monticello was good; could make some noise.

    Race 2

    (3) OVER AND OUT flashed good speed for about three quarters, but hit the brakes in deep stretch last out. Rallied nicely two starts ago to nail down the place spot; at his best, he can get the job done. (1) MEADOWVIEW ARNY returns to the mile distance, where he was quite sharp two tries back. (8) FOUR STARZ CREDIT drops a notch in class; post hurts, but he is very capable.

    Race 3

All systems go with (1) LIGHTNING RADIER N. Led every step of the way turning for home recently, but was caught in the final strides for win honors; down the road today. (2) LITTLE MICHAEL B put in a nice rally for place money three trips back; gets post relief based on his last two starts. (6) ASOKA N fits with this group, did beat lesser at Freehold on December 12th; exotics factor.

    Race 4

    (3) GRAND GALOP SEMALU Clearly this gelding gets a better slot to make some serious noise; the class drop should help his cause. If that's the case, he can beat these. (1) PRINCE ASTON Monticello shipper moves to the fence, where he could get a good position; big threat. (4) LINCOLN BLUES Jersey invader showed brief speed last out; could land a share.

    Race 5

    (1) COUSIN EDDIE On December 11th, this trotter showed fine speed to hold the show spot. Moves to Yonkers and the rail slot should be a perfect fit for this six-year-old; primed to take this. (4) STAR STUDDED CAST was third best for the second straight time; good tactical speed makes this trotter a contender. (2) TIME WILL TELL ALL drops a notch in class, was a very game third against better last out; beware.

    Race 6

    (4) MASTERSON Gelding had two bad posts, now receives a cozy slot to get the job done over these. With a favorable trip, the rest will have to settle for minor honors. (1) UNIX HANOVER Consistent pacer has wheeled off two straight victories; the one to fear. (3) ELWELL Another consistent runner has hit the board in his last five tries, and is coming off two scores in a row; watch out.

    Race 7

    (1) TOUCH OF LUCK makes his return to Yonkers, where he was a game third at this level. Gets the rail and Kakaley signs on to drive; the pick. (5) IWILLMAKEYOUSAYWOW Speedy pacer has not seen the winner's circle since October 20th; must be considered in the exotics. (3) DCS BETTER LIFE just missed the score by only a 1/2 length recently; not out of this.

    Race 8

Maybe the half mile oval will help (1) ARMOR HANOVER get back into the winning groove; was sharp three trips back at Philly, so the rail slot should help his chances. (6) SING OUT was sent down the road last out for all the glory; big player. (2) REV UP THE SPICE did not fire at all in his first attempt here, but was a fast closing second at Plainridge two starts back; worth a play.

    Race 9

    (4) WINNING IS SWEET was pecking away down the lane, but came up short in getting the job done in his first try at the Hilltop; poised to pounce and score today. (6) JACKSRLUCKYTOO Meadowlands invader made his last trip a winning one; with his tactical speed, he surely is a contender. (3) POWER KEG put in a nice run in his latest, given the fact he was almost 70-1; can't be overlooked in here.

    Race 10

    (5) TWIN B SPEEDO went quite fast in his last start at the Meadowlands, and that surely compromised his chances. This seems to be a better group for this gelding to get back into the winner's circle; threat at his best. (3) COOPER COAST A just held on for the victory at Freehold last time out; fits with these, so he could make some noise in the final stretch drive. (1) SON OF FERGIE A qualifier at Freehold last out was good, receives the rail slot today and gets Brennan; don't sell him short.

    Race 11

    (6) SPORTS BETTOR Sharp in his last two starts makes this gelding a true contender for team Brennan/Burke; gets the job done. (5) WILD AGAIN comes by way of the Meadowlands with some decent efforts; could be right in the mix. (1) AM MAGIC MAN was sitting in the pocket most of the way, but broke turning for home last out; could be a serious threat against these.

    Race 12

    (2) INTREPID HALL was facing better stock last out; flashed speed for 3/4's, but tired in the final stretch drive. With different tactics from Holland, this gelding can mow these down. (3) EXIT CAM Freehold invader moved to the front turning for home in his recent outing, but was nailed for top honors; dangerous. (1) BULLVILLE KYLE moves down in class, receives post relief and Carlson returns on this six-year-old; exotics factor.
