    LATE PICK 4: 2,4,6,9/4,9/1,3/4,8,9 = $48

    SPOT PLAYS: 15 - 50 / $167.60

    Best Bet: HUNCH MAN (8th)

    Spot Play: RETAIL (10th)

    Race 1

    (5) LADY PING closed with good energy late last week which should have her primed for a top try here in this opening leg of the Lifetime Dream series. (3) PISCEAN should have a good shot if making front early here which would make her a win threat. (2) LUAU HANOVER missed almost a month before last week's even effort. She should improve sharply here.

    Race 2

    (2) ASPEN CALIFORNIA was a powerful winner leading up to this series opener and the short field should help her here. (3) DOMEDOMEDOME closed belatedly behind a strong winner last time and is obviously one of the best ones in here. (1) TYMAL FIREITUP has done her best racing with Filion piloting and he returns here.

    Race 3

    (1) CHICAGO HANOVER blitzed similar last week and will be tough right back. (2) CHEYENNE FORD was a strong winner off the claim and looks like the main foe. (6) UFDRAGONS ROCKET has held strong form for several weeks and fits well here.

    Race 4

    (7) GANACUS SEELSTER is the first foal to race from a well-bred unraced dam. His qualifier was a sharp effort; top call. (2) RAKIN IT IN raced decently behind a runaway winner in his debut; using. (1) SHOOTIN TO KILL may not have like the slop last time; don't dismiss lightly.

    Race 5

    (4) THE BIG YEAR got scorched last week trying to make the front early and paid a steep price. He should get a better trip here; top call. (2) COOL ROCK was flying late last week in his first start in six months. He's the main danger. (1) TWOMICKEYTRIP will be blasting from the inside and could take these a long way.

    Race 6

    (1) STORMONT WIZARD raced evenly in his first start in three weeks last time now returns quicker which gives him a better chance here. (3) ALL B OVER was a sharp winner last time but now has missed close to a month; mixed signals. (8) IN SECRET was chasing a late pace that wasn't slowing last time and couldn't close. There is no Musical Rhythm in here.

    Race 7

    (9) ETRUSCAN HANOVER unleashed an impressive kick in the back half to win last week. He is at the top of his game, but, history also shows that doesn't typically last long for him. (2) BIG RICH adds trotting hopples which should keep him flat and make him a top contender. (4) KINETIC KING drops back down here and is another of many contenders in with a decent chance.

    Race 8

    (4) HUNCH MAN drops again and Henry could send him right down the road here. (9) MACH PRIDE has faced much tougher recently and is another that will probably get aggressive early. (7) BLISSFUL YEARS closed quickly in his qualifier and moves into a potent barn; beware.

    Race 9

    (3) CHARLIE IS A JOKER and (1) MURMUR HANOVER both face much easier here. Slight nod to the former based on post relief but use both in the late Pick 4. (2) JUSTICE JET was an impressive winner last time but the top two are much tougher than the company he beat there.

    Race 10

    (4) RETAIL was claimed by a cagey trainer and could take these all the way first time out for the new connections. (9) JUST HENRY faced better and now drops into a claimer. He could be a square price from out there, too. (8) VELOCITY HEADLIGHT stopped last week but can rebound here with Drury driving. (10) BROADIES SONG enjoyed the drop into claimers last week and should share here back in with similar. (6) JAC SPADE raced well off a break and can better this placing.

    Yonkers: Monday 1/11 Analysis
    By Brewster Smith

    DRF HARNESS

    FINAL 2015 STATS: 246 - 1167 / $1,690.80

    BEST BETS: 29 - 97 / $127.80

    Best Bet: DOUBLEDAY (5th)

    Spot Play: LUCKY MCTRUCKY (9th)

    Race 1

Considering this is a weak group, (2) DEBT OF HONOR gets the acid test. Gelding makes his return to Yonkers, where he was a fast closing second two starts ago; improvement expected. (3) YUCATAN has a much lighter group to contend with. His down the road score three starts back at this level could put this guy right in the mix. (4) COSMICPEDIA was second best from the 8-hole two trips ago. With the move to the post four, this pacer figures to make some noise in the final stretch run.

    Race 2

    (4) GRANDPRIX SEELSTER Gelding was a sharp second in his Meadows finale last out. The last time this trotter was on a half-mile track was at Flamboro in Canada; dangerous. (7) KEYSTONE BODACIOUS had brief speed last out, but could not sustain his early foot. Figures to contend if he returns to his December 1st run. (3) NOBLE POWER Comes by way of Woodbine, this four-year-old put in two good outings in a row; capable.

    Race 3

    (4) TAILWIND HANOVER Very sharp in his last three tries at Philly, this pacer has every right to move forward; primed for glory for team Brennan/Burke. (3) TRACYS DESIRE seems to pick up checks, but just can't seal the deal. Filly could find her best stride late, but will need a favorable trip to be a factor. (1) FAITHFUL FRIEND With a fourth place finish at The Meadowlands recently, this gal could be in the mix.

    Race 4

    (3) SEAFOOD MISSY You have to like the way this gal's two efforts were good, considering the fact her latest was from the 8-hole at Saratoga; not out of the cards for a move forward. (6) OK HEARTBEAT Wide on the far turn to grab the lead, but could not hold off two of his rivals at Philly last out. With a favorable trip, he could make some serious noise. (1) I Y Q TOO Three excellent scores at Monticello in a row, now she will try to keep the streak alive at the Hilltop; capable.

    Race 5

    (6) DOUBLEDAY was in front early, took back in the pocket and blasted his way inside for all the glory last out. Consistent trotter is sharp enough to make it two straight, but will have to do it from his outside slot. (3) STORMONT PARK was caught on the rim at the half-mile pole with a contenting bid, but folded in the final stretch drive; could be a factor. In (2) CELEBRITY PEGASUS's last start, he was completely dead last most of the way, and zoomed on home for the victory; big player.

    Race 6

    (3) IM AM THE COWBOY Sharp in his last two outings. Compared to this group, he is clearly the speed of the speed. Should outclass this group with a down the road score. (2) STEADY WARRIOR early zip at the Big M last out, puts this guy right square in the mix. (8) SIR ZIGGYS Z TAM is back at the Hilltop, but the post will hurt his chances; maybe.

    Race 7

    (6) DAVITA Florida invader is very consistent with on the board finishes in 7 of 8 tries last year. With good position, this gal can boss these. (1) CAVIART CHRISTA made a big move at three quarters, but flattened out in the final stretch run last out at Philly; can have a say with these. (2) HAZMATT Woodbine shipper was trying to go down the road, but tired in deep stretch last time around; can't overlook.

    Race 8

    (2) R CAAN led every step of the way, but could not hold off two of the contestants in his latest. Gelding could make a quick turnaround. If that's the case, it's game over for the rest. (3) INTHENAMEOFJAMES put in a nice run recently and landed the show spot. Has every right to put his best foot forward; maybe. (4) TAURANGA Two starts back, this gelding was a sharp to grab the place spot; not out of this.

    Race 9

    (1) LUCKY MCTRUCKY was third best at 82-1 in his Jersey finale. Returns to Yonkers where he has done his best; capable from the fence. (5) RANGERS SURESHOT Facing slightly better upstate last out, this pacer is a proven commodity at the Hilltop; big threat. (4) SWING CITY never got involved against open foes at Dover, gelding moves back to a winning level; watch out.

    Race 10

    (4) STIRLING DIVA Trotting mare was outrun until deep stretch, she stepped on the gas to nail down the placing at Philly; moves up north in hopes of a favorable trip. If that's the case, the rest will have to settle for place money. (3) CLIFTON BEACH Broke at the half in his Jersey finale, made a great recovery to grab the fourth spot; could contend with these. (7) BETTER TO BE LUCKY moves up in class, but he is in solid form with a victory last out; don't overlook.

    Race 11

    (4) MYDELIGHT BLUECHIP did not fire at The Meadowlands in her latest, but rallied for third here on November 30th & December 7th respectably. With a complete meltdown, this gal could run them off their feet; we shall see. (3) HEAVENLY BRIDE is on a roll, scoring her third straight victory last out. Another favorable trip, she will be tough again. (2) GIRLLOOKATTHABODY On the board 18 of her 19 starts last year, this pacing miss fits well against these; must be considered in all the exotics slots.
