Is there anyone else that thinks the NFL preseason is going to change or go away in the next few years ?
A couple of years ago the players union suggested cutting down from 4 games to only 2.
The NFL countered by saying they would consider it, as long as another regular season game was added.
Of course the players union wanted the players to be compensated for the extra game. That's where the talks ended.
Fast forward to 2019 and you see a lot of teams holding out starters for most of the games. While I think the coach / teams are behind this decision. I don't think the players are objecting to it. There is such a lack of interest in the current games tickets are available on the secondary market for $6.00.
There has to be a point where fans are going to complain about paying full price for these games.
