WHAT'S BREWING TODAY Friday, April 15 On Today's Scorecard Rank 'Em Up |
Exactly one week since the excitement of Opening Day, and ESPN's first regular-season rankings of the season offer a reality check for some and reason for hope that this could be the year for others. Is your favorite team off to a fast start that might - or might not - last, or are you rooting for your squad to pick it up after faltering in its initial matchups? Either way, its 10-voter panel has combined for an initial order based on a combination of what we've seen so far and what we already knew going into the 162-game marathon that is a full baseball season. The biggest movers were the Houston Astros, up to No. 2 from No. 5, and the Tampa Bay Rays, up to No. 5 from No. 9. The biggest drops were made by Milwaukee, from No. 7 to No. 12, as well as the Texas rangers from No. 21 down to No. 25. Click here to see a complete review of the current team rankings. |
Trending Today Stat Of The Day |
The New York Yankees are worth over $7 billion, or approximately seven times the value of the Miami Marlins. Elon Musk wants to by Twitter for roughly $42 billion. By my math, he could purchase SIX Yankees franchises for a similar cost. Let that sink in for a while |
