The revitalized USFL will make its debut on April 16 and run through mid-June, followed by the playoffs. Here is a primer for the 2022 season. The games will be televised on NBC and FOX. In the inaugural season of the USFL, all eight teams will play in Birmingham Alabama, at both Protective Stadium and Legion Field. Eight USFL teams will play a 10-week regular season in Birmingham, Alabama, with the top two teams from each division advancing to the semifinals. The two divisions include: South: Birmingham Stallions, Houston Gamblers, New Orleans Breakers, and Tampa Bay Bandits North: Michigan Panthers, New Jersey Generals, Philadelphia Stars, and Pittsburgh Maulers Among the rules changes will be a three-point conversion and a best-of-three shootout from the two-yard line in overtime.
