| The West Bracket of this year's NCAA Tournament was deep, with top seed of the tourney Gonzaga surrounded with teams highly capable of pulling off an upset. There are 21 Duke players on current NBA rosters. And Mike Krzyzewski's final Duke team will add to that total with three surefire 2022 first-round picks (Paolo Banchero, AJ Griffin and Mark Williams) and two others in the first round conversation (Wendell Moore Jr. and Trevor Keels). All five of these guys average in double figures in Duke's high-octane attack. Beware of the Devils. No one wants to see Mark Adams' Texas Tech team on their side of the bracket, because the Red Raiders will hound you. The question is: is there a better name in college hoops than Adonis Arms? Defense travels in the NCAA tournament, and Arkansas has the explosiveness and size to impose their will on lesser opponents. But their offense was inefficient away from Bud Walton Arena and they've endured massive roster turnover since last year's run to the Elite Eight. And Eric Musselman can coach. | In 2017 Houston traded up to No. 12 to draft Deshaun Watson and he was expected to be the face of the franchise for the foreseeable future. Watson has played four seasons (54 games), and his 104 passing touchdowns and 14,539 passing yards rank second in Texans franchise history. Ironically the team Houston traded up with to draft Watson was Cleveland. The Browns acquired Watson for five draft picks, including thee first-rounders. The Browns plan to give Watson a new 5-year $230 million. He would receive $184 million over the first four years of his new contract - a $48 million raise over what he was scheduled to make under his current contract. Astonishingly, the full $230 million is guaranteed, a record for highest guarantee given to an NFL player. ESPN Stats & Info reports that from 2000-2021 the Browns paid the QBs $183M in cash value – the lowest total in the league. Go figure. |
