| There is still time to tinker around the edges of rosters, but by and large, the biggest needle-moving changes have been made, so we now have a better idea of which teams are contenders and pretenders for the 2022 NFL season. With that in mind, each NFL team was ranked into tiers by PFF as we look ahead to the season. The Top Five true contenders include Buffalo, Tampa Bay, LA Rams, Kansas City and a surprise at No. 5 – the LA Chargers. It's PFF's contention that Bolts QB Justin Herbertbuilt on his stellar rookie campaign, so the Chargers spent a ton of money to surround him with talent. Adding a player such as Khalil Mackshould improve everything up front, andJ.C. Jackson adds to a secondary that has a lot of ball skills as a unit. We'll soon have two 16-team mega-conferences, but why stop there? Some believe the Big Ten and SEC will end up with 20 schools each, forming the "Power 2." Don't laugh. It's a strong possibility. |
