Sneaking in and out of this thread before any of you guys see me. That was a really embarrassing first week. At least I didn't lie to you. I stunk.

I looked back to last year to see how Baker Mayfield and his posse performed in spotlight games. Remember going into last season this was gonna be the breakout team of the year. So they had four spotlight games.

In those games they went 2-2 SU and ATS.

But they were favored in two of those games:

-6' @ NYJ // Clev W 23-3
-3 vs Pit // Clev W 21-7

I'm expecting the same kind of game tonight against a rebuilding Cinci team with rook Joe Burrow at the helm.

In this year's Battle of Ohio (Part 1), both teams have injuries all over. Not sure I can process all those injuries, so I looked for offensive or defensive injuries. Maybe everyone on offense is out and the total will be under?



Browns banged up on both sides of the ball. Bengals mostly injured on defense.
Baker missing maybe 3 offensive linemen gives me pause. With little to no pressure he seems to drift off to the right and mess up the blocking scheme.
Joe B has no offensive line, but he's not afraid yet. Not enough NFL hits to make him skittish like Baker.

Browns offense should focus on Chubb and Hunt. Brownies have better talent.

Browns ML and the over. ? I want an over. I want the game to be a shootout.

Gonna play simple psychology. In some matchups there is clearly one team who EXPECTS to win. Gonna play against that team because the greater effort should come from the other team.

Lions lost both games to the Pack last year by 3 points.

NYG +5' -110 (@ Chi)
G-men lost to the Bears in Week 12 last year.

Houston +7' -110 (vs Balty)
Houston was a Playoff team last year. On Week 11 they got beat by these Black Birds 41-7. I think they'll remember that.

LA Chargers +9 -109
The Chiefs beat 'em both times they played last year.
