Demling's exotics writeup for the Breeders' Cup Classic is below. His full leaderboard can be found here.

The probability that the payouts in the $6 million Breeders' Cup Classic on Saturday at Churchill Downs is large is off the charts.

The Classic has a full field of 14 horses and there's a legitimate case for at least six of the horses to win, which means the exotic payouts are likely going to be very juicy if you can hit one in the race.

If you really like a horse - like I do with Catholic Boy - a $20 win wager is always a smart play. Plus, he's 8-1 in the morning-line so a nice price.

But it will be the exotics where you can pad your bankroll.

Let's try to win some cash!

We strongly like the top four horses on our list - Catholic Boy, McKinzie, West Coast and Thunder Snow. So, we will play them heavy in the race.

Here's a look at a ticket I believe will not only cover you but has a chance to give you a solid return on your investment.

Let's play a $5 exacta box with the top four in the race. And then take those four and play them in a $1 bet over some others.

$3 exacta box 1,3,6,7 ($36)

$1 exacta 1,3,6,7 over 4,8,10,11,12,13,14 ($28)

$1 exacta 8 with 1,3,6,7,11,14 ($6)

The trifecta will be a tough on to snare so lets just go small on that one.

$0.50 trifecta 1,3,6,7 with 1,3,6,7 with 4,8,10,11,12,13,14 ($42)

With the superfecta let's throw the top four in there on top with the five we like:

$0.10 superfecta 1,3,6,7 with 1,3,6,7 with 1,3,6,7,11,14 with ALL ($52.80)

And here's a small wager in case our long shot - Thunder Snow does run big.

$0.10 superfecta 1 with 3,6,7,11,14 with 3,6,7,11,14 with ALL ($22)

And one final small wager, just in case our pick does win:

$0.10 superfecta 3 with 1,6,7 with 1,6,7,11,14 with ALL ($13.20)

It's a total of $200 for the bet.

Good luck and enjoy the day
