        Preview: Portland At Houston
When: 5:00 PM ET, Saturday, February 6, 2016
        Where: Toyota Center, Houston, Texas
The Portland Trail Blazers are trying to earn a spot among the top eight in the Western Conference but are having a difficult time beating teams with winning records. The Trail Blazers will get another chance to do just that when they begin a stretch of four straight against winning teams by visiting the Houston Rockets on Saturday.
Portland has won nine of its last 12 games but only one of those – a 115-110 triumph over Oklahoma City on Jan. 10 – came against a team with a winning record. The Trail Blazers had a chance to polish off a 6-1 homestand on Thursday but came up just short in a 110-103 loss to the Toronto Raptors, who own the second-best record in the Eastern Conference. It’s only due to a recent two-game winning streak that the Rockets can claim status as a winning club, and they needed to overcome a 15-point deficit to knock off the Phoenix Suns on Thursday. Houston is trying to focus more on the defensive end and forced 41 turnovers in the last two contests.
TV: 5 p.m. ET, CSN Northwest (Portland), ROOT (Houston)
ABOUT THE TRAIL BLAZERS (24-27): Portland fell behind by 14 points in the first quarter against the Raptors and was never able to recover as a five-game winning streak came to an end. “Our first quarter defense wasn’t even close to being good enough, especially against a playoff team, a really good team like them,” Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard told reporters. “They shot the ball really well and we made a few mistakes that allowed them to get themselves going and start believing.” Lillard finished with 27 points and 11 assists for his second straight double-double and fifth in the last 11 games.
ABOUT THE ROCKETS (27-25): James Harden led Houston to a 115-102 win over Miami on Tuesday with 27 points and 14 assists but needed more help on Thursday to overcome a 4-of-19 shooting effort. The All-Star got that help from the wing duo of Corey Brewer and Trevor Ariza, who combined for 46 points on 16-of-27 shooting and eight steals. Dwight Howard also made his return to the lineup on Thursday after serving a one-game suspension for making contact with a referee and added 16 rebounds, a block and a pair of steals to the defensive effort.
        BUZZER BEATERS
        1. Trail Blazers PF Noah Vonleh (ankle) sat out Thursday’s game and is day-to-day.
        2. Rockets F Terrence Jones sat out Thursday after he was in a car accident and is questionable for Saturday.
        3. Harden went for 45 points and 11 assists in a 108-103 overtime home win over Portland on Nov. 18.
PREDICTION: Rockets 109, Trail Blazers 104

          Preview: Washington At Charlotte
When: 7:00 PM ET, Saturday, February 6, 2016
Where: Time Warner Cable Arena, Charlotte, North Carolina
John Wall and the Washington Wizards have a small dose of momentum as they begin a three-game road trip at the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday. Wall followed up his season-high 41-point performance in a loss to Golden State with his fourth career triple-double in Friday’s 106-94 win over Philadelphia.
Included in the stellar performance was a career-high 13 rebounds and 10 assists, which gave the three-time All-Star double digits in assists for the eighth time in 10 games. The Hornets know all about Wall’s exploits, as he registered 27 points and 12 assists in a victory over Charlotte on Dec. 19. They enter this one on a sour note after losing an eight-point lead in the fourth quarter of a home loss to Miami on Friday. Kemba Walker returned from a one-game layoff due to a knee injury to provide 20 points as Charlotte saw its three-game home winning streak come to an end.
TV: 7 p.m. ET, CSN Mid-Atlantic (Washington), FSN Southeast (Charlotte)
ABOUT THE WIZARDS (22-26): While Washington was victorious at home on Friday night, it has enjoyed more success on the road and enters this one as one of four Eastern Conference teams with a winning record (11-10) away from home. If that trend continues, the Wizards could be in for a positive stretch run as Saturday’s contest marks the beginning of a span in which they play 11 of 17 on the road – and 20 of their final 34. In addition, nine of Washington’s next 12 road opponents have losing records.
ABOUT THE HORNETS (24-26): Walker was one of three starters to hit the 20-point mark against Miami, but the Charlotte bench was a massive disappointment. Five reserves combined to score 12 points on 4-of-20 shooting, with Jeremy Lin following up a 24-point effort with a six-point showing while going 1-of-6 from the floor. Rookie Frank Kaminsky was held scoreless for the first time since Nov. 10.
          BUZZER BEATERS
          1. Wizards SG Bradley Beal scored 22 points against the 76ers in his first start since Dec. 9.
          2. Hornets PF Marvin Williams is averaging 20.5 points over his last four games.
          3. Charlotte has outrebounded Washington by an average of 11.5 through the first two meetings.
          PREDICTION: Hornets 100, Wizards 97

            Preview: Detroit At Indiana
When: 7:00 PM ET, Saturday, February 6, 2016
Where: Bankers Life Fieldhouse, Indianapolis, Indiana
Injuries have provided an opportunity for rookies Stanley Johnson and Darrun Hilliard to help the Detroit Pistons hold onto one of the final Eastern Conference playoff spots, and so far the duo is doing their part. Johnson and Hilliard combined for 28 points in Thursday’s victory over New York, and both will be counted on Saturday with Detroit visits the Indiana Pacers without guards Jodie Meeks and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope remain sidelined.
“We’ll see from there and see how deep we have to go,” Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy told reporters Thursday, citing Johnson’s versatility to shift from guard to forward when Hilliard is on the court. The Pacers have won three of their past five after a three-game losing streak, falling 102-96 in Atlanta on Friday despite 31 points from Paul George. The loss dropped Indiana one-half game behind Detroit for the seventh spot in the East. The Pacers are 2-1 against the Pistons this season and have won 13 of the past 15 home games against Detroit.
TV: 7 p.m. ET, FSN Detroit, FSN Indiana
ABOUT THE PISTONS (27-24): Center Andre Drummond leads the NBA in rebounding at 15 per contest, pulling down a career-high 29 rebounds against the Pacers on Nov. 3 and averaging 19.3 boards in three games against Indiana this season. Johnson scored a career-best 22 points against the Knicks and tied a career-best with five assists while adding nine rebounds, and Hilliard has scored 10 points in his past two games after not playing in eight of the previous 10 contests. The Pistons rank third in the NBA in rebounding per contest (47.1) and lead the league in second-chance points per game (15.6).
ABOUT THE PACERS (26-24): George has been outstanding in the three previous meetings with Detroit, averaging 20.3 points and 9.7 rebounds, and has scored 30 or more points 15 times this season. Forward Lavoy Allen contributed 13 points and pulled down a season-high 14 rebounds off the bench Friday and has recorded double-digit rebounds twice in the past five contests. Rookie center Myles Turner is averaging 15.5 points in his past 11 games.
            BUZZER BEATERS
            1. Indiana G Rodney Stuckey missed his 12th consecutive game Friday with a sprain and bone bruise in his right foot.
            2. Drummond has recorded 42 double-doubles in 51 games, tops in the NBA, and is averaging 17.3 points despite shooting 35.1 percent from the free-throw line.
            3. George, who is fifth in the league in made 3-pointers with 134, hit 7-of-12 from long range Friday.
            PREDICTION: Pacers 96, Pistons 92

              Preview: New Orleans At Cleveland
When: 7:30 PM ET, Saturday, February 6, 2016
Where: Quicken Loans Arena, Cleveland, Ohio
The Eastern Conference-leading Cleveland Cavaliers look to rebound 24 hours after a stunning loss as they host the New Orleans Pelicans on Saturday. The Cavaliers, who have dropped two straight after a five-game winning streak, coughed up a four-point lead in the final seven seconds to lose 104-103 to Boston on Avery Bradley’s 3-pointer at the buzzer.
LeBron James poured in 30 points Friday, scoring at least 20 for the ninth straight game, but Cleveland teammate Kevin Love (thigh bruise) left the game early and the forward is questionable for Saturday. The Cavaliers have dropped five of their last six games against the Pelicans, including a 114-108 overtime decision on Dec. 4. However, New Orleans has lost three in a row after a 7-2 stretch had appeared to put it back in contention for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. Forward Anthony Davis is averaging 30 points and 10 rebounds over the last three contests as the Pelicans deal with the absence of injured guards Tyreke Evans and Eric Gordon.
TV: 7:30 p.m. ET, FSN New Orleans, FSN Ohio (Cleveland)
ABOUT THE PELICANS (18-31): Evans (knee), who is the third-leading scorer on the team (15.2) and the top assist man (6.6), is likely out for the sixth straight game and Gordon (finger) isn’t expected back until March. Davis averages 23.4 points and 10.3 rebounds overall while Ryan Anderson is second on the team (17.2) and shoots almost 40 percent from 3-point range. Guard Norris Cole was 1-of-10 from the field for two points in the 99-96 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday after seven straight games in double figures.
ABOUT THE CAVALIERS (35-14): Love had 10 points in 22 minutes before missing the fourth quarter Friday and may not get to follow up the double-double performance he had against New Orleans earlier this season. James has scored at least 30 in 12 games and Kyrie Irving continues to progress after starting the season on the injured list – averaging 23.8 points over the past five contests. J.R. Smith is averaging 17.3 points in a three-game span and Tristan Thompson has recorded double-digit rebounds in six of his last 10 contests.
              BUZZER BEATERS
              1. New Orleans G Jrue Holiday stepped up his production with Evans and Gordon out, producing at least 19 points in five of the past six contests.
              2. Cleveland G Matthew Dellavedova (hamstring) has missed the last two games and is questionable for Saturday.
              3. The Pelicans play five of the next seven on the road, where they are 5-19 this season.

                Preview: Brooklyn At Philadelphia
When: 7:30 PM ET, Saturday, February 6, 2016
Where: Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
The Brooklyn Nets are coming off their highest-scoring performance of the season and now take aim at the worst defensive team in the Eastern Conference when they visit the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday. Joe Johnson scored 27 points and Brook Lopez had 26 as Brooklyn shot 55.8 percent – also a season high – in a 128-119 win over Sacramento on Friday.
The outburst gave the Nets four straight games of 100 points or more, their longest such stretch of the season. Philadelphia has allowed opponents to hit the century mark in six consecutive games, losing each of the last four. Ish Smith scored 22 points but his fellow starters combined for 27 on 10-of-30 shooting in Friday’s 106-94 setback at Washington, which dropped the 76ers to 1-29 against the East. Johnson and Lopez combined for only 14 points but Brooklyn received loads of support from its bench in a 100-91 win over Philadelphia in the first meeting this season.
TV: 7:30 p.m. ET, YES (Brooklyn), CSN Philadelphia
ABOUT THE NETS (13-38): Johnson looked the part of an aging veteran early in the season but he has authored a turnaround since the calendar turned to 2016. After shooting 35 percent through December – including 30.2 percent from long range – he is up to 49.3 percent since New Year’s while drilling 48.8 percent of his 3-pointers. He had a season-high 11 assists against the Kings after handing out nine in a loss to Indiana two nights earlier.
ABOUT THE 76ERS (7-43): Robert Covington sparked Philadelphia’s first win with 23 points during a personal hot stretch earlier this season and he posted a pair of 25-point efforts last month, but he has suddenly hit a wall, posting six points in 40 minutes over two games in February. He missed all five of his shots against Washington while going scoreless for the third time this season and is 0-of-8 from 3-point range this month. Covington also missed all six of his long-range tries in the loss to Brooklyn while being held to six points, his only single-digit effort in a span of 14 games from Nov. 21-Dec. 16.
                BUZZER BEATERS
                1. Lopez is averaging 27 points during a five-game stretch.
                2. Brooklyn is 1-7 in the second half of back-to-backs on the road.
                3. Sixers PF Richaun Holmes (ankle) is expected to miss his second straight game.
                PREDICTION: Nets 94, 76ers 92

                  Preview: Chicago At Minnesota
When: 8:00 PM ET, Saturday, February 6, 2016
                  Where: Target Center, Minneapolis, Minnesota
The Chicago Bulls are expected to be without All-Star guard Jimmy Butler when they visit the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday after their leading scorer suffered a sprained right knee Friday in Denver. The injury was a precursor to a disastrous night for Chicago, which blew a 16-point fourth-quarter lead and was outscored 42-21 in the final period of a 115-110 loss to the Nuggets that dropped them to 2-3 on its season-high seven-game road trip.
Butler fell awkwardly to the floor early in the second quarter after being fouled by Joffrey Lauvergne and after making one of two free throws was wheeled off the court for further examination but later had a sense of humor, telling Bulls staff members: “Y’all get me the Forrest Gump knee brace.” Chicago, which has won six straight in Minnesota, is in sixth place in the Eastern Conference – 3 1/2 games clear of ninth-place Charlotte in the playoff race. Minnesota snapped a five-game losing streak and a 12-game road slide with a 108-102 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday. “We’re gaining confidence every day,” Timberwolves guard Andrew Wiggins told reporters after scoring 31 points. “We may lose, but we’re not getting beaten bad and we’re not getting blown out. We may be down by 15 points sometimes, but we’re fighting back and never giving up.”
TV: 8 p.m. ET, CSN Chicago
ABOUT THE BULLS (27-22): It has been a tough week for Butler (22.4 points per game), who missed Wednesday’s 107-102 victory in Sacramento with left knee tendinitis after banging his knee during a collision in Utah on Monday. Center Pau Gasol (16.7 points, 11.0 rebounds) missed Friday’s game with a left hand sprain and Chicago is also without center Joakim Noah (shoulder) and forward Nikola Mirotic (appendicitis), who did not make the trip. Derek Rose stepped up in Butler’s absence by recording 30 points, a season-high nine rebounds and eight assists.
ABOUT THE TIMBERWOLVES (15-36): Interim coach Sam Mitchell is excited about the improved play of his club, telling reporters: “Well for a bunch of 20-year-olds, y’all should be excited. Any other NBA city, if you don’t have Golden State, San Antonio, OKC, a team like that, what else better to have than Karl-Anthony Towns, Andrew Wiggins, Zach LaVine, Gorgui Dieng and Shabazz Muhammad. …?” Wiggins, who scored 30 points in Minnesota’s 119-115 loss to the Lakers in Los Angeles on Tuesday, averages a team-best 20.8. The Timberwolves will be well represented on All-Star Saturday night Feb. 13 with LaVine trying to defend his slam dunk title and Towns (16.5 points per game, second among rookies to Philadelphia’s Jahlil Okafor at 16.9) participating in the skills competition.
                  BUZZER BEATERS
                  1. Chicago is 3-5 in the second contest of back-to-back games this season, winning once in the last six such situations.
                  2. Minnesota F Kevin Garnett (knee) and G Kevin Martin (wrist) have each missed the last six games.
                  3. The Timberwolves won the first of two regular-season meetings 102-93 in overtime Nov. 7 in Chicago behind 31 points from Wiggins.
                  PREDICTION: Bulls 101, Timberwolves 100

                    Preview: Dallas At Memphis

When: 8:00 PM ET, Saturday, February 6, 2016
                    Where: FedExForum, Memphis, Tennessee
The Memphis Grizzlies seek their sixth consecutive victory and 10th in 11 games when they host the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday. The Grizzlies posted a 91-85 win over the New York Knicks on Friday to reach 30 wins in 50 games or less for just the third time in franchise history.
Memphis had a nine-game streak of topping 100 points end as a sluggish offensive effort saw all five starters score 10 or fewer points. “I thought our timing was off after not having played for four days but we did enough to pull out the ‘W,'” Grizzlies coach Dave Joerger told reporters. Dallas has lost three consecutive games and was steamrolled 116-90 by the San Antonio Spurs on Friday. The Mavericks trailed 62-26 midway through the contest and the 36-point margin represented the worst halftime deficit in franchise history.
TV: 8 p.m. ET, FSN Southwest (Dallas), FSN Southeast (Memphis)
ABOUT THE MAVERICKS (28-25): Dallas scored 12 points in the first quarter and 14 in the second on Friday in what was easily its worst showing of the campaign. “They kicked our (butt),” shooting guard Wesley Matthews told reporters. “That’s probably the most embarrassing game I’ve ever been a part of at any level.” Small forward Chandler Parsons scored just six points on 3-of-9 shooting one day after he publicly questioned whether coach Rick Carlisle has “the same confidence and respect in my abilities that I do.”
ABOUT THE GRIZZLIES (30-20): Reserve forward Jeff Green has been exceptional during the five-game winning streak and has led Memphis in scoring in each of the games. Green is averaging 24 points and shooting 60.3 percent from the field during the stretch and had topped 20 points in four straight games before settling for 16 in the victory over the Knicks. “Jeff has obviously given up a boost,” Joerger said after Friday’s win. “He gives us another scoring threat when we go to a bigger lineup.”
                    BUZZER BEATERS
                    1. The Grizzlies have won 11 of their past 15 home meetings with the Mavericks, including a 110-96 victory Nov. 24.
                    2. Matthews has reached double figures just once in the last seven contests and is shooting 30.8 percent during the stretch.
                    3. Memphis PG Mike Conley has scored in single digits in four of the past six games.
                    PREDICTION: Grizzlies 97, Mavericks 93

Preview: L.A. Lakers At San Antonio
When: 8:30 PM ET, Saturday, February 6, 2016
Where: AT&T Center, San Antonio, Texas
Kobe Bryant has turned back the clock during the last three games and the Los Angeles Lakers certainly need another strong outing from the retiring veteran when they visit the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday. Bryant is averaging 29.3 points during the stretch, including a season-high 38 points against Minnesota on Tuesday.
Los Angeles has won back-to-back games and can match its season-best winning streak with an upset of San Antonio. The Spurs have won 17 of their past 19 games and annihilated the Dallas Mavericks 116-90 on Friday. San Antonio built a 36-point halftime lead in the easy road win over the Mavericks and its 42-8 record matches the best 50-game start in franchise history, established by the 2010-11 squad. “I wouldn’t say it was easy,” Spurs power forward LaMarcus Aldridge said afterward. “We had to compete and execute, do things right out there. I wouldn’t say it was easy. I thought guys played hard and competed at the highest level.”
TV: 8:30 p.m. ET, TWC SportsNet (Los Angeles), KENS (San Antonio)
ABOUT THE LAKERS (11-41): Bryant missed Friday’s practice to rest his ailing shoulder and coach Byron Scott told reporters that Bryant should be ready to go against the Spurs. Scott said Bryant’s three-game explosion — which included 27 points in Thursday’s 99-96 win at New Orleans — can be attributed to Bryant’s recently improved health. “He’s finally got his legs back. Conditioning was never an issue,” Scott told reporters. “It was just a matter of time until he started getting his legs back up under him. When you play 20 years in this league, sometimes it takes a while to get them back, and obviously right now, the last couple of weeks he seems to have everything up under him again.”
ABOUT THE SPURS (42-8): About the only person associated with San Antonio who was not overly impressed with the slaughter of the Mavericks was coach Gregg Popovich. “Every game has mistakes — you win by 30 or you lose by 30,” Popovich told reporters. “It happens to all of us. I could go watch the film and there would be all kinds of things we could improve, because it is a game of mistakes. There is never a perfect game, so it goes without saying that you can always get better.” Spurs All-Star small forward Kawhi Leonard has made 20-of-33 field-goal attempts in the past two games and his 23-point effort against Dallas marked his third 20-point performance in the last four outings.
                      BUZZER BEATERS
                      1. The Spurs are 2-0 against the Lakers this season with the victories coming by an average of 17.5 points.
                      2. San Antonio C Tim Duncan (knee) will miss his seventh straight game and is unlikely to play again until after the All-Star break.
                      3. Los Angeles G Jordan Clarkson is 16-of-27 shooting during the past two games and has scored in double digits in 20 consecutive games.
                      PREDICTION: Spurs 122, Lakers 95

                        Preview: Utah At Phoenix
When: 9:00 PM ET, Saturday, February 6, 2016
Where: Talking Stick Resort Arena, Phoenix, Arizona
The Utah Jazz have won a season-best five consecutive games and try to add another to the ledger when they visit the downtrodden Phoenix Suns on Saturday. Utah completed a 5-1 homestand with an 84-81 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday and attempts to keep the momentum going on a four-game road trip.
Phoenix has lost six consecutive games and 23 of its last 26 while experiencing a dreadful season. The Suns lost the first two contests of a seven-game homestand and the defeats occurred in interim coach Earl Watson’s first two outings after replacing fired Jeff Hornacek. Utah has been thriving defensively and has allowed an average of 84.2 points during the five-game winning streak. The Jazz shot just 39 percent from the field and committed 17 turnovers against the Bucks but the defensive charge included 15 steals and eight blocked shots.
TV: 9 p.m. ET, ROOT (Utah), FSN Arizona (Phoenix)
ABOUT THE JAZZ (24-25): Utah averaged just 84.5 points while beating Denver and Milwaukee in the past two games and small forward Gordon Hayward credited Friday’s victory to the defensive intensity. “Our defense kept us in the game,” Hayward said after the win. “We executed our game plan like we wanted to and when you’re not making shots offensively, you can always count on your defense and that’s something we’re going to have to count on on the road, too.” Center Rudy Gobert recorded a career-best five steals against the Bucks in a solid all-around effort that included 15 points (on 6-of-7 shooting), eight rebounds and three blocked shots.
ABOUT THE SUNS (14-37): Archie Goodwin has been pressed into starting point guard duty with Brandon Knight (groin) sidelined and has averaging 20 points, 9.5 assists and five turnovers during the past two games. He committed six of Phoenix’s 24 turnovers that led to 38 points allowed in a 111-105 loss Friday to the Houston Rockets — shooting guard Devin Booker and power forward Markieff Morris had five apiece — and admits he’s learning on the fly. “It’s small things I’m not doing, like getting to the outlet fast enough,” Goodwin told reporters. “I see the pass and sometimes I just throw it too hard or I don’t drop it in the right spot. I’ll get better at it.”
                        BUZZER BEATERS
                        1. Hayward scored 24 points as the Jazz rolled to a 110-89 home win over the Suns on Dec. 21.
                        2. Utah backup PG Trey Burke (illness) was limited to three minutes Friday and is questionable to play against the Suns.
                        3. Booker is averaging 19.4 points in the past 10 games and has four 20-point outings during the stretch.
                        PREDICTION: Jazz 102, Suns 98

Preview: Oklahoma City At Golden State
When: 9:00 PM ET, Saturday, February 6, 2016
                          Where: Oracle Arena, Oakland, California
Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry is coming off a 51-point explosion and is looking forward to a weekend that ends with his beloved Carolina Panthers playing in the Super Bowl on Sunday. Curry will need to keep some focus on the basketball court on Saturday, when the red-hot Oklahoma City Thunder visit the Warriors.
Curry annoyed the Thunder last week when he suggested it would be a good weekend with a win on the court the day before a Panthers win in the Super Bowl. That swagger has been with Golden State all season, and the defending champs have backed up that bravado by matching the 1966-67 Philadelphia 76ers with the best 49-game start in NBA history and have yet to suffer a loss at home. As much fun as Curry and Oklahoma City star Kevin Durant are to watch, the meeting on Sunday also features the two most well-rounded players in the NBA at the moment in All-Stars Draymond Green and Russell Westbrook, who rank first and second in the NBA, respectively, in triple-doubles. Green ripped off his league-leading 10th triple-double on Wednesday at Washington while Westbrook needed only 22 minutes to record his eighth on Wednesday against the Magic and finished with a video game-like line of 24 points, a career-high 19 rebounds and 14 assists.
TV: 9 p.m. ET, ESPN, FSN Oklahoma, CSN Bay Area (Golden State)
ABOUT THE THUNDER (38-13): Oklahoma City is averaging 120.2 points during its five-game winning streak and has won 12 of its last 13 games while emerging, along with the San Antonio Spurs, as one of two legitimate threats to the Warriors in the Western Conference. “The reality is, as much as people want to say what they’re going to say, it is the next game on the schedule and it’s one of 82,” Thunder coach Billy Donovan told reporters of Saturday’s showdown. “That’s not downplaying. That’s just the truth. Now everybody around may want to point and create different storylines and that’s fine, but it is, right now, the next game against a high level, outstanding basketball team that we’ll have to play at a very, very high level against.” Westbrook has had no problem playing at a high level of late and is averaging 24.2 points, 12.8 assists and 11.4 rebounds in the last five games, including three straight triple-doubles.
ABOUT THE WARRIORS (45-4): Green recorded a triple-double in each of the last two contests and added five blocks in Wednesday’s 134-121 win over the Wizards that brought Golden State’s latest winning streak to seven in a row. The Warriors are the third team in NBA history to win 40 straight home games (dating back to last season) and they are scoring at an even more prolific pace than the Thunder with an average of 123 during their last eight games and an NBA-high 115.4 on the season. The spectacular scoring binges from the likes of Curry and Klay Thompson even excite opposing fans, and the Washington crowd was standing as Curry went off for 25 points and seven 3-pointers in the first quarter on Wednesday.
                          BUZZER BEATERS
                          1. The Warriors have handed out 30 or more assists in eight straight games – the most in the NBA since the 1989 Charlotte Hornets reached the mark in 13 in a row.
                          2. Thunder backup C Enes Kanter is averaging 18 points in the last four games.
                          3. Golden State took three out of four in the series last season, with Westbrook recorded 17 points, 17 assists and 15 rebounds in Oklahoma City’s lone win.
                          PREDICTION: Warriors 125, Thunder 117
