According to Bruce Levine of Chicago's 670 The Score, the Cubs and Diamondbacks have agreed to a trade involving catcher Miguel Montero.
It's not yet clear what the Diamondbacks will be getting in return, though Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports suggested Monday that it would be pitching prospects.

ESPN's Buster Olney writes that the Tigers' primary focus "is on retaining Max Scherzer."
Olney adds that the Detroit front office is "prepared to spend big, big dollars" to lock up the free agent right-hander.

The Astros fell short in their bids for Andrew Miller and David Robertson, but Gregerson is a pretty good Plan B. The 30-year-old owns a 2.75 career ERA, including a 2.12 ERA and 59/15 K/BB ratio over 72 1/3 innings this past season.
