  • Love for the Home Dogs - Week 3

Last week, I pulled out my money for the poor and desperate home dogs. Three teams needed my support, but the Jets were so disgusting I couldn't bring myself to hand 'em the cash. Dolphins and Chargers made me proud. I feel like I made a difference.

    Ugly home dog system:

    Week 1 - No plays
Week 2 - 2-1 ATS (Dolphins, Chargers, Jets)
    Week 3 - No plays

Home dogs appear to be well fed this week. The Viking are getting 2' at home vs. the Titans, but 39% of the Yahoo contest players like the Vikings. Not sure why. Who likes the Vikings?

Mike Zimmer had an offense with a deep ball passer throwing to Diggs. Life was good. Diggs no longer wanted to be in Minnesota, so he left. They did not replace the deep ball WR in their offense. Much of their offense was the deep ball in '19. Bring in new OC Gary Kubiak. Yeah, we gonna run it. The Vikings had a vision, a plan of how they were going to play this season on offense. The plan is not working out. I do not give this coaching staff any credit, as I think they will not be able to adapt. On the defensive side of the ball, the Vikings were top 10 last year, imo. They lost all 3 starting corners from last year, plus most everybody up front. Even if the replacements are superior in talent (which they are not), so many new guys on defense is problematic. The Vikings are just a bad team right now.

The Giants are also a home dog (+4.5). Thankfully, 29% of Yahoo players like the Giants, so I do not have to deal with the Giants all up on me begging for money. But, they should be nagging me for change. Who like the Giants? They lost a great running back to injury, but tonight signed Devonta Freeman. He's still listed as Atl RB at Yahoo FF. I put in a waiver claim for Freeman. Don't need him, just playing keep-away on the off chance that the Giants master throwing ball to Freeman in the flats.

Denver is also a home dog.

Not pulling out money here either. I'm only looking for home dogs with less than 20% of the contest players on their side.

The Broncos have enough backers that I can still sleep at night. Who likes the Broncos?

The 49ers, Bengals, Lions and Broncos have all had Driskel on the roster. I know Driskel from seeing him around town. He was a Gator QB 2012 to 2014. The 2012 Florida roster also featured Jacoby Brissett. Go Gators. Here's what I know. Driskel will have an open receiver streaking downfield and the pass will end up 12 degrees off target. Everyone watches the replay and shakes their head. The next time Driskel drops back he's under tons of pressure but stands tall and delivers a strike downfield. Everyone cheers. If the pass protection holds up, he has a chance of making great plays. Under severe pressure Driskel will fold like anyone else. The Bucs will bring the pressure.
