Every year there is some debate on usually 1 or 2 teams that gets left out ....usually 1 team but this year going into today if the top 4 win they are in.4 conference winner which is how it was set up 2 be.

However this leaves Alabama out which I fell leaves out 1 of the top 4 teams.Flawed system!!

What if all 4 top teams lose today..Can happen.

Now there will be all kinds of scrambling.

Georgia in as SEC champ
Alabama in as a 1 loss non Champ team
Miami Flor in as ACC Champ

then we have:

TCU which just beat Oklahama
Oklahoma who beat Ohio St and TCU earlier this year
Ohio St lost to Okl but is Big 10 Champ


I want to say Oklahoma but TCU just won but do they deserve to jump 7 spots.Think it is one of these 2 because Big 12 got screwed a couple of years ago for not having a Championship game that cost them a spot.Do they have the balls to punish them again for having a conference game and again give it to Ohio St?


Here is something else I heard.

What if Wisc is the only one that loses

They rank the top 3 and then rank 4 thru 6

There are 13 voters,however 3 of them have ties with the schools involved so they have to recuse themselves so you get 10 voters and if 5 vote for Ohio St and 5 vote for Alab you get a tie for the final spot.

They have no alternate to decide so they have to go back and debate their reasoning until.......someone changes their vote!!!CRAZY!!!

I dont see how they can leave Bama out. Only the 1 loss to a good team in a hostile environment. So I have Bama and Clemson in regardless. If Bucky wins then I drop Wisky. If TCU wins I put Miami in. Tough to leave Auburn out or Georgia. Maybe, since nothing gets done in DC, there will be a Senate investigation.

Like you Capt I can't see them leaving Alabama out but stranger things have happened

If TCU wins and Ohio St wins I put.......Ohio St in! Bet you didn't see that

I hope FAU gets to play a decent power 5 conf team. I think they'd beat UCF.

I like Toledo too. Knowing how they do the bowl games, they'll probably make Toledo and FAU play another non-power 5 conf team

They need to increase the # of teams in playoffs. I'd hate to be on the committee. I agree with you guys - Alabama is definitely one of the top 4 teams in the country
