That Cincy game was the first game that made me say WTF!

How many people are going to grab 3-1 division leading Buff and the points over this terrible Cincy team.If you go down on this one so do I.

Buffalo definitely has played well, pulling off B2B "upsets" on the road is no easy feat in the NFL. We will see though, didn't have enough confidence to make it a bigger play for a reason though...

Re: NFL Plays Week 5 - Comp Play up

        Had this play tonight...

        $400 New England/Tampa Bay over 55
I was a bit taken aback when I saw how high the total was on this game. My initial reaction was that it was high enough that public over money would be somewhat quelled. So far that seems to be the case with fairly even bet % on the O/U. That could change with game-day money, I guess we will see. To start with the books opened it at 54 and took enough sharp early action to move it to 56, and it has settled back to 55. Normally I see a short week as a great opportunity to look at the UNDER, especially when the public is on the OVER. This week I see it as a buy sign on the over, because both defenses are bad against the pass and with little prep time I can't see even the genius of Bellicek being able to fix it. If he had an easy fix it would have been in place before Cam Newton had his best game of the season. New England's defense has been VERY bad. They have won the turnover battle in every home game, had less penalty yards and are now a -15 points net in 3 home games. Brady has been great, their defense has been historically bad. I would have loved to fade the public here and take the dog, you just don't play against Brady off a loss, he is 16-3 ATS on the road off a favorite loss in his career. Tampa Bay allowed Case Keenum to have a career day and then a struggling Eli Manning with no running game to offer as balance added 288 passing yards. Tampa is dead last in the NFL with 1 sack, so Brady will have all day to pick who he throws to. Tampa Bay's offense is clicking, they passed for over 300 yards against the Giants, who happen to have a pretty good pass defense. The Patriot are on a run of 8-0 O/U their last 8 games and every game they played this season surpassed this number. LOSER (-440)

Re: NFL Plays Week 5 - Comp Play (Winner!)

Decided to add this play today, lines for this game weren't even out when I capped this week's board...

                    $300 Minnesota/Chicago under 40.5
Both these teams rank in the top 10 defenses in the NFL. Minnesota has faced tough passing teams so far so their rankings there are a bit skewed. Make no mistake about it, both teams will struggle to run the ball tonight. Minnesota has little to worry about passing D, Chicago may have the worst WR group in the NFL. That allows their stout run D to worry more about stacking the box and stopping the run. Minnesota lost rookie Cook to injury, their offense is now less capable of being balanced. He was easily their best RB, he will be missed. I doubt the conservative Fox will let his rookie QB be put in bad situations throwing 40 times where turnovers could lead to points. The Vikings have played 6 games as road favs under this coach and the highest scoring game of those had 41 total points scored. $WINNER$ (+300)
