  • Anybody here from Boston ?

First show for the 2015 Neil Diamond tour has been listed and it's in Boston.
My family has attended his concerts for over 30 years.
From my Grand parents all the way down to my own kids have seen him.
Given his age you never know when a tour of his could be the last one.
We're shooting to attend the Michigan show, opening night and closing night of this tour.
Right now it appears that Boston is the opening show. But should be official at 5 pm when the entire tour list is announced.
If your from Boston. Do you know of decent hotels close to the TD Gardens ?

I saw him in 2007 in the Wochovia Center in Philly. He was great. Sounded excellent! I hope he still sounds as good in 2015, 8 years older lol. Music from the 60's, 70's, and 80's is some of the best music on the planet. But as you said, as these artists continue to age, you never know if that show will be the end. I saw the grassroots a few years ago and Robert Grill and company sounded superb. The following year I went to see them again and just 3 days before the show, Rob Grill had a massive stroke. The show went on without him (not so good but everyone had sympathy for the band under the circumstances) and he died 2 days after the show. I think Neil has a few more good years left. Enjoy the show!

He just toured in 2012 was OK.
Looks like from the current shows listed he will be taking breaks during the tour.
This is a world tour and the current released shows Colorado as the last show in that group and he lives there and in LA

Re: Anybody here from Boston ?

The thought of the day arriving when all these great artists become extinct is awful. However, their music will live on forever on records, CD's, and my favorite......cassettes lol. And by the way, my 2008 Lexus ES 350 with thhe cassette deck is still rolling strong with my mixed tapes. Anybody who has got in that car can't believe that a deck is there in a car from that year. Another great show I saw a few years ago was Christopher Cross. He has about 10 hits but he sounded great. Just came out and pounded out all the hits without hesitation and BS.
