  • Colts acquired RB Trent Richardson from the Browns

Colts acquired RB Trent Richardson from the Browns in exchange for a future first-round draft pick.
Per FOX Sports' Jay Glazer, the Browns felt Richardson "didn't fit Chud's (coach Rob Chudzinski's) offense," which doesn't make a lick of sense. Moving on. The deal leaves Chris Ogbonnaya or potential free agent pickup Willis McGahee as the favorite for touches in Cleveland's backfield as new GM Mike Lombardi essentially punts away the 2013 season. In Indianapolis, Richardson joins an offense with high-scoring potential that wants to play smash-mouth football with a heavy dose of power running. He'll eventually be an every-down back, even if Richardson probably won't be usable in Week 3 at San Francisco.

Talk about closing the gap with Houston!!

Screw Cleveland, what a bunch of perennial losers!! Richardson is going to be the next Marshall Faulk!

Wait until he starts seeing two deep safety in stead of defense's stacking 8-9 in the box on him.

You have to wonder how the season ticket holders feel about this.
Before the season they had to think well the defense should be OK and we have a top running back.
So with a little decent QB play, maybe we contend.
Then after two weeks your front office says screw that and hits the do over button.

Un-freaking-believable!!! Maybe the owner couldn't afford attorney & IRS fees/penalties with the Pilot Truck stop legal issues - reduce payroll!!

I would be sick if I was a Browns fan. I mean come on man... ridiculous.

Good deal for Trent Richardson, the Indianapolis Colts, and T. Rich fantasy owners - HUGE!

I like Richardson. Was shocked that Brown management never even gave him the courtesy of a phone call to inform him of the trade. Heard a friend called him and told him he was traded. That's just plain wrong. Barring injury, what did the Browns have to lose by holding on to TR through at least mid season? TR will be better off in Indy. Plays in a dome and should be nice asset to Luck. Wish this guy well and have heard nothing negative about him.

Bridge water or Boyd, no way they are passing up on Johnny td. Knowing them they will probably take a lineman. Is a shame for browns defense is good.
